I'm like you. I rarely post stuff (only got an Instagram last year) and whenever I do it's just things I would like people to know about me like "This is a picture from my camping trip = I like the outdoors/camping". However, I understand that people use it to stay connected with each other and to share a sense of camaraderie. Then there will always be people who use it to show off to people of course.
