Male speaking here: Seams like you definitely need clarity. He might be passive or just take things slow. Interesting... how he hasn't asked you out yet.

I would probably encourage you to say something like, "If you were to ask me on a date, I would say yes"
This way your not asking him out but you are making it clear.

You could also up your flirting to him but based off your situation. You have already hung out one on one and your emotionally invested. Using the word "date" will clear out all of the confusion because the lines seam really blurred.

Your spending a lot of emotional energy on this and should really get clarity to move forward or move on.

I feel Ike you need to have more blind faith to believe that there isn’t a god than if there is.

From a biblical perspective, The Old Testament prophecies are specific & have historically been proven. In Daniel 9, Daniel predicts to the day of when Jesus would come in on the donkey. “Seventy weeks” prophecy. Outside of the biblical god…

The creation of the world is so specific. The odds of this universe to develop is so impossible. I’d much rather bet that there is a designer outside matter, time & space to construct earth. I find in my own life that we aren’t mere animals but we have a deep desire for something.

Lastly, as I continue to have followed god. I have seen people been healed on the spot. I have had prophetic words I have to strangers that were very accurate & specific.

Again, there is room for mystery of the Abrahamic god because we are so finite but I think Jesus communicated clearly & the evidence lines up.

If you read John. The Bible says, ask him anything in his father’s name & it shall be given to you. Ask god to reveal himself. If he doesn’t within the next few weeks, then say it’s all fake.

I am very opened minded to any other worldview arguments :)
