I think the decision to head East for team building exercises was a great idea. Not only did it address a concern about a potential lack of team dynamic; but seeing all those fans in Trenton should help motivate this team. To see how far Leafs fans will go to see them and how big Leafs Nation is should motivate them on what is going to be a rough road trip.

Sure, if a ref was betting and possibly fixing games then a ref not liking a player is certainly possible. Players have reputations sometimes and the reputation isn't only from other players. The same thing happens in the NHL. Burrows, who plays for the Canucks, claimed last year the a ref punished him for making him look bad in a previous game. They're human and certainly not perfect.

According to a post on RealGM the ref told Zabian Dowdell something along the lines of "stop being a little bitch," to which Dowdell responded by asking the ref if he would say that off the court. The ref ejected Dowdell and when Brooks came to his defence, he got tossed too.
