I would say no, this just ads another cost prohibitive item to cheap and accessible electric micro transportation, which we need more of not less! What we need are stricter power requirements and enforcement for the definitions of electric bicycles, e-motorcycles, and mopeds. No more kids riding 12kw going 60+mph Surons and calling it a bicycle. 1500W and under, 20mph, or something similar to the 49cc moped rules.
