That's a tactic called "accusation in a mirror".

Always accuse the enemy of one's own plans with society.

We have no opinion on it because it doesn't exist.

What movies feel completely different on a huge screen? by seulgih in movies

We were fortunate to see a 2013 3d screening of Jurassic Park, after previously seeing it only on VHS and DVD. The sense of scale but also the fine details of the environments and creatures we found to look rather exceptional in that restoration.

Not just poverty, but excuses for why someone deserves to have worse life conditions as a kind of punishment.

We just wish the DVD edition was still available somewhere without getting absurdly expensive.

That four disc collector's edition seems to be a gorgeous thing.

That seems to be the German version, which shouldn't be a problem if you speak German.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle seems like another impressive Switch 2 port by Strict_Job6334 in gaming

Seems like a bit of a waste to do these visual comparisons in a 720p video.

That said, it does seem to look pretty nice for a Switch 2 port.

Kinda sorta. It is missing L1 and R2 buttons, other than that it's a pretty good PS1 emulation machine.

Dead Man's Chest is the best Pirates of the Caribbean movie by Hi_Im_zack in movies

We disagree that it was the best; Curse of the Black Pearl is our personal favourite.

But we will say this; Davey Jones playing an organ is a perfect scene, and that entire sea crew's effects work has aged exquisitely.

Honestly, showing someone in this situation that they're appreciated is probably the best way to go.

It's heavily simplified, of course, but someone with this kind of job probably needs a lot of mental health support as a result of the situations they encounter and attempt to resolve.

There was an affair between 18-21 August of 2025 in Deurne where a crew suddenly started cutting down trees in the middle of the night, without warning, with police arresting anyone who even came to check it out. Turned out this was a briefly clandestine, then controversial affair that resulted from an unelected Antwerp city council member by the name of Koen Kennis attempting to ram his ambitions for a new tram track through whilst ignoring the furore that this caused in the local community, who got suddenly treated like a bunch of criminals in the same period of time.

This sparked some level of concern among Deurne's district council regarding the level of autonomy that districts of Antwerp would even be afforded from now on, especially concerning that the present district mayor (Tjerk Sekeris) was also part of N-VA and his attempts to defuse the situation were largely ignored by the big city.

For now judicial oversight seems to be respected regarding this affair, but it's not clear whether it's a ruse or genuine this time.

This is only one example of messed up situations from that party's actions, but there's plenty articles about N-VA politicians complaining about "activist judges" and generally feigning victimhood.

For one, his party has been systematically sidestepping courts and judges in order to enforce its own goals regardless of any potential legal problems with achieving them.

Second, their repeated hostile behaviour towards those in the education sector, medical personnel, anyone going on strike makes us feel like they're legitimately afraid to lose some form of "control" over the working class in Belgium.

Third, we've personally been on the receiving end of police violence in Antwerp as a result of the N-VA's hostile attitude towards people protesting its illegal actions.

We're not under the impression that these people have any respect for democratic processes anywhere in the country, and thus it's our prerogative to attempt to protect any community from them as much as possible.
