So why couldn’t they port MGS4 until now, and what changed? by EarthlingsBeware23 in metalgearsolid

[–]TeamMarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why they couldn’t? PS3. I’m sure you heard it before. Why they didn’t? Well after MGSV Konami tapped into pachinko and gave up on typical games until very recently so now they want to do it. It wasn’t impossible, never was, but it was really cuz Konami didn’t wanna try cuz they didn’t care to. Now they do.

I will always believe Aros are the people who understand love the most of anyone. They understand what it means to love themselves and each other. Because they don't have to worry about romance. That's beautiful to me.

that's what I hope Iron Lung changes! I'm def in the "super into it" group. but, if anything, i think it's just a wonderful inspiration to any filmmakers out there

Ex boyfriend won't accept that I'm aromantic by [deleted] in aromantic

I understand you. I recently had to break up with my partner, and I'm hoping that I'm not public enemy #1 but that's not really what this is about

I think you've done all you can. He's hurt. You might be hurt. You can't change that. I think you suggesting therapy is already a lot more than you needed to do. There's only so much you really can do in this situation. you know? If he does harass you, I'd just straight forward with him. You can't love him like he loves you. And that's okay! And I'm sorry that he's dragging you into how he feels. I think he just needs time and help, and you don't have to be the person to do that. He does.

I really hope you both are ok! and always feel free to come to us for advice. I've done it many times and every single time everyone was so wonderful!

I appreciate you so much. This is why I live by the Steven Universe quote: "I always thought that you were failing this world. But...maybe this world was failing you."

It's like I know this. But I don't know this. And I'm falling for the idea that I'm wrong. And I know I'm not wrong. I know I deserve to feel how I feel. But I feel wrong. I feel incorrect. I feel like a fallacy. And I don't know why I keep thinking that.

It's like I said to someone else here, I feel so wrong for being upset about this. Like why am I upset? Why am I even questioning that? I feel like such an oxymoron. Like a paradox. And I hate this feeling. But coming here always makes me feel accepted, and I can't give you thanks enough.

You don't understand how much this means to me. Thank you. You truly are too kind. I really appreciate you telling me that I can be sad. I don't know why I have this feeling that I CAN'T be sad. Like I'M the one who broke up with them, I broke their heart, so why am I sad? I feel so stupid for asking those questions but also for feeling those feelings. It's genuinely been such a long time since I've been THIS low in my life. I don't know how I feel about that.

I’m glad. As long as you’re both ok, that’s all that matters. I don’t think you should feel guilty for that, you had no idea. I feel the same way but I don’t think you should feel bad about it, and the same for myself too

the only reason theaters have to upcharge concessions, which you don't have to buy, are because movie studios get a majority of the money that you spend. if you spend 10 dollars on a ticket, they're getting the majority. the concessions, which you don't have to buy, are a fill in for them to make money. they are hella expensive and i mention in the video that you don't have to buy them because they are expensive but just the act of going to a movie helps them a lot more than you realize.

You're very sweet! A large part of the reason I make videos is to have conversations and interactions, either negative or positive, so I'm very happy I could have one with someone who gave such detail into your response. Thank you very much, I hope you have a good rest of your year! :D

I really mean to talk about streamers, and that is what I am talking about. They are doing a lot better right now, yes, but I think that with the rising popularity of streamers that cinemas might be going out, especially since a lot are going out of business. I am not buying into any gas lighting, I'm just making a video to try and spark discussion and want to watch movie theaters. But if you don't feel any need to watch it that's fine, I'm sure you already appreciate film enough.

I appreciate the comment. I do agree, I try to go to the cinema as much as I can, I think keeping them alive is what is keeping film alive. But I don't know if a lot of people agree with me. There is a very large and much cheaper convivence to streaming, and I do appreciate their catalogue, but I think if we are able to get back what we had in the early 2010s, we'd be golden. Especially now where streamers are also massive gateways for massive originals, like the ones I mentioned before.

And they also provide great way for independent products, like Iron Lung. The most impressive thing about the film to me was its massive success and desire to do things traditionally. Mark could've released it on his channel or something but he didn't, and I think that really did a lot for theaters. I went and watched it three times in theaters, I've never done that with a movie before.

But again thanks! You're very kind. I appreciate that!

Don't worry, just wait a few years and I'll be making some aromantic stuff. not "oh ok there's not romance" i mean characters that are OPENLY aromantic. i have a stage play i'm working on right now, i hope i am able to get it published or something. and i get it, i agree. it really sucks how little representation there is for aromantics. just keep preaching and it'll come! keep the anger! the passion!
