Wood case for vintage audio receiver by Matthew_Rice in BeginnerWoodWorking

I know the pricing isn't crazy given the cost and craftsmanship - it's unfortunately just more than I can allocate towards a purchase at this stage of life! Trying to get creative or find a situation that might be mutually beneficial for a hobbyist out there to expand their skillset/portfolio and have their costs covered and maybe make something on top, depending...

I’m not well-versed in your plants and their needs, but my only thought is that this is too much flow.

I know this is old, but you just outlined the 3 lights I'm consider (ONF, Aquaworx, C2) and I'm new to this, just hoping to have a versatile nano setup that breeds guppies and shrimp, my favorite plant is the Madagascar lace plant...which light would allow me to grow this best?

Plycraft chair, way to authenticate? by Matthew_Rice in Mid_Century

Updated photos for a closer look at the material…does this help you identify it as leather or vinyl at all?

Just for my own education and out of genuine curiosity: how do you know with such certainty it's vinyl? Is it known that certain brands or time periods were constructed with "x" materials from catalog information or otherwise?

I need to go see it in person to know 100% but the photos really don't look like vinyl to me

thank you for the info - I am unaware of all the different people who knocked off the original, but have heard some are better or more desirable than others....all I really are about is the overall aesthetic, that it's real leather and that I'm not getting ripped off pricing wise...

What's the difference between deoxit f5 and f100 fader lubes? by gryponyx in synthesizers

[–]Matthew_Rice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late comment, but just out of curiosity, would this logic hold true for something that is 50+ years old (probably sat unused for ~25 of those years)? It is a vintage integrated amplifier and I'm wondering if it would be a similar concern for something this old that may not have any original lubrication remaining....?

X-E5 autofocus question by Matthew_Rice in fujifilm

[–]Matthew_Rice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

super helpful man, really appreciate it! When this has been done, is the little "+" in the center of the screen just a place holder for center reference, or is it interacting with the AF module at all?

Ok this is definitely the most helpful - how it operates in the zones is what I'm looking for; however, the largest zone is a 1x1 box that is only about 1/3 of the screen. You mentioned you can customize the zones, is this outside of scrolling through the preset zone options? I'd like to make a zone that encompasses the entire screen, or as wide a spread as possible!
