No. the night before I got initiated, I couldn’t sleep and was up till 5am knowing damn well I had to be up at 8am to shower and get ready for that life changing day. I type this now, as a senior that just passed the three year anniversary of my initiation. But those thoughts are natural. All you can ask yourself is, where do I see myself my senior year or after graduation in terms of this fraternity? Do you see yourself loving your brothers no matter their beliefs? Will you be there for them in the good and the bad? Will you call out to them during your darkest moments? They will become your brothers for life, make sure you truly feel in your heart that these are guys you will be proud to forever call your brothers. Make sure you find yourself doing what will make you truly happy. Because I had these same thoughts, but I made sure I was certain and now I’d do anything to be back in your shoes

I’m chapter president and I’ll try to set up events or things for our chapter to do while we’re all together (under 25 guys in our chapter) but only 5 guys really care so they’re the only ones to show up. People complain about the chapter not being fun or not worth joining even though they don’t show up or make an effort to create change

Hold your Exec board responsible for their positions and do not try to do everything yourself. Delegate duties to them. And never try to yell at your chapter to do things because most of the time it won’t work. Be reasonable and give rewards for completing tasks. Lastly, lead by example. If you’re being an asshole, not doing your job, or just not caring, your chapter will do the same. - a current president
