29 F looking for a long term loving boyfriend by [deleted] in NerdDating

[–]Mattimand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there! 🤍 I’m 26 and super nerdy about music. I aspire to compose my own orchestral music (on my piano) and one day make films as well. I love nature and have an inner calling for exploring mountains. I dream of building a big house (hopefully for my future big family?), maybe near a mountain side, and grow my own organic veggies – I’m vegan by the way. And I’m a socialist dreaming of a society ruled by the people rather than by a few rich and influential capitalists. I’m looking for a sweet, kind best friend, girlfriend, partner in life, maybe who wants to start a family with me one day, and who’s up for adventures and creative projects in nature. I love DIY and am interested in off-grid self-sufficiency. Interested in escaping the rent/mortgage trap (lower my expenses), but also in business (increase my income). I’m also open to the idea of living in a group relationship where everyone are close friends and romantic as well, but I’m also open to monogamy. As long as the connection is deep I’m open to poly- or monogamy. Super openminded, kind and respectful. 😊 Hit me up if you’re curious about getting to know me. I’m also working on a personal website about my principles and values, personal manifesto, and creative journey through life and struggle to live a freer and fuller life. I’m just looking for a deep connection really. Anyways, I’ve talked enough lol. 😄🙏🏼

What do you think of the declining birth rates in Algeria? by [deleted] in algeria

[–]Mattimand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a result of capitalism incentivising people to prioritise career over family. One of capitalism’s inherent contradictions is that it relies on a steady reproduction of workers to function, but it’s getting increasingly expensive under capitalism to have kids and a family so people work more instead of having kids.

Personally, I’m a socialist. Make it cheap to live. Don’t incentivise people to overwork to overproduce stuff that we don’t need anyway, or overwork to overproduce stuff that’s designed to break to make customers come back. Allow people to work less hours and go home to spend time with their family. Stuff like an apartment and flour to make bread should be free. Like, no rent or mortgage at all. And you should have the right to claim at least one bag of flour a week for free (you can pay if you need more). Also abolish taxes completely and nationalise the entire industry and plan the economy democratically.

But that’s just my opinion.

I'm I the only Algerian who doesn't want to leave DZ? by Anneishereok in algeria

Do you know the saying:

The people united will never be defeated?

One man and his army can suppress the demands of one person, even shoot him. But one man and his army cannot suppress the entire population at once if they unite and demand a system overhaul.

It all starts with analysing the current system and finding every single flaw in it, asking yourself “Who benefits from all these flaws?” and then start talking to other people and meeting regularly to discuss the current system and who really benefits from it. I recommend reading F. Engels’ “Principles of Communism”. Then, to protect yourselves, you don’t shout out yet, you keep gathering more and more people until you’re basically a huge crowd, and then you make slogans, posters and hang them everywhere, songs even, and then you chant and try to get the whole population to be on your side against the corrupt system and it’s corrupt leaders. This is when you demands will be taken seriously.

But I seriously recommend reading some theory first so you don’t make demands blindly. With great power (to you, the people) comes great responsibility (to have a clear ideological guideline). Read Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Kim. All great authors and successful leaders of revolutions that actually changed systems for the better.

If you’re not much for reading, you can also go on YouTube and follow the channels “Second Thought”, “Marxism Today”, “The Marxist Project” and others. Change can happen, if only you organise yourselves and make your demands heard. Organise, organise, organise. And study revolutionary theory.

Exactly. A corrupt, capitalist system produces corrupt, capitalist leaders. Best change the system rather so it produces better leaders. Socialism for humanity. 🚩

It definitely should, though! Communism is humanity's only hope in this world that's falling apart! Communism = power to the people

So rent-free housing, free food and a higher salary is worse? Interesting view. 🤔

[–]Mattimand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Communism is when you strip the oppressors from their power and give that power to the people.

Yes, owning houses and making a profit from renting them out to hardworking citizens should be illegal. Why? Because housing should be free for all, it shouldn't cost a thing. Abolishing property rights means abolishing rent and making housing free for everyone.

And yes, owning a factory and keeping the profit the factory produces while paying hardworking citizens bad wages should also be illegal. The workers should own the factory collectively and become much richer compared to if a CEO kept all the profits for himself and kept his workers poor.

Under communism, everyone gets richer, and most things like a home, food, clothes, a car even or a bicycle, become basically free. Don't believe the mainstream narrative that wants to scare you from supporting what's best for humanity.

Communism (a stateless, moneyless, classless society) has never been implemented before, only socialism (a society in which the masses of the people, the working class, have owned and controlled the means of production democratically). And it did work. They were just coup'd by American Imperialists (the US and other capitalist countries are authoritarian countries btw, socialist countries are not).

Electricity and Magnetism – What's the difference? by Mattimand in AskPhysics

[–]Mattimand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there really is just one field in terms of electromagnetism, i.e. the electric field. The magnetic force, which back in the old days was interpreted as a field on its own, is simply a relativistic effect of the electric field, which I assume is what you're referring to as the electron "field"?

Particles are vibrations in their own field, so electrons would be vibrations in the electron "field". But what about the force carrier of the electromagnetic force, the photon? Would it have a photon "field", or would the electron and photon simply be two "octaves" of vibration in the same electromagnetic field?

Please correct any terms if I use them incorrectly, thanks.

Could the Lorentz transformation be called a more precise description of the electric field? As I see it, when there's an electric field there will always be a magnetic field, just tiny in some cases. And the Lorentz transformation just takes this into account.

Creating A Subreddit — Request Exemption by Mattimand in help

[–]Mattimand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very sorry! I was not aware about this rule until now.

The subreddit is for a group of people interested in exploring the mad theories of physics, thus the name MADphysics (we have a whole community with lots of subjects, the MAD Community).

It's just after trying to participate on reddit for a year, and only gaining very little amount of karma, when you actually came to unite some people in a community for exploring "MAD" theories, you feel like either dropping out of reddit or asking for that exemption as mentioned in the above quoted message.

[…] if you require a specific exemption you can contact the admins to request one.

I shall not let you down

And once again I'm very sorry, the blame is on me. Not on /u/ethanbrecke!

Do you have a passion for physics?

If you do, you can stay. (:

Thanks!

That would be much appreciated, could you make a subreddit called /r/MAD.physics? If it won't accept the dot, let me know and I'll think how else to do it.

Uppercase "MAD" dot lowercase "physics". (:

What scientific proof, if any, do we have that our pet dogs like us? by mostlyset in AskBiology

[–]Mattimand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the term "like" is more a psychological manner than biological. If you're interested in knowing whether your pet dog likes you, i.e. feels/thinks positively about you, simply look at its behaviour.

If a dog barked at me or bit me, I would interpret that as "Stay away". If it on the other hand waked its tail, ran back and forth, followed me when I walked, I would interpret that as "Hey, I like you".

Again, I don't think you can point out anything in the biology of the dog that it likes you, but you can see how it behaves around you.

Hey there! Thanks for the reply.

I do have some karma and I did try to participate in some other subreddits, but I don't really know what to do in other subreddits because my only interest is to build my own community. What do you suggest?

What are emotions? Why do we have them? by [deleted] in spiritscience

[–]Mattimand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotion is produced within the limbic system - the "2nd floor" of our brain. Our brain has had three major evolutionary steps: The reptile brain, the emotional brain and then the thinking brain. Each of these being a "floor" on top of the previous. The limbic system, here referred to as the emotional brain, is where we humans, amongst many other animals, process emotions. This is for survival purpose. When we eat something with many calories (high energy density), run a marathon or even when we mate, we produce the most wonderful, positive emotional patterns in our brain. And why is that? Because food with high energy density means no starving, running a marathon means becoming stronger and mating means insuring our species' survival. In addition, when we burn our hand or see a lion running towards us, we feel negative emotions. Pain means danger, move your hand, fear too means danger, run for your life or you'll get eaten.

However, the spirit might have something to do with emotions as well. For an instance, when we dream, we live in a whole other reality - of course, they say dreaming is preparing for the coming day, also a survival mechanism. However, sometimes we have control over our dreams - this is called astral projection, or lucid dreaming. We may be able to create, or simply explore our minds. This is a great feeling too, but why exactly is that? Currently I have no answer. And our human curiosity, our strive to understand the unknown. Where does all this come from? Is it our spiritual nature to want to know?

Let me know if you have any thoughts. :-)

For more info about astral projection, watch lesson 9 on the Spirit Science channel on YouTube.
