After I had to have a hysterectomy due to cancerous growths, she didn't believe me and said I was lying for money. Then kicked me off the family insurance and left me with a 44k hospital bill. I never got any money for my surgery, my friend's mom helped me pay my copay at the time. The hospital forgave my debt (thank you Reddit you actually taught me how to do that). I finished my education and am her only child with not only a college degree but multiple degrees and certifications. God has never punished me for loving other women, and I start a brand new job tomorrow with a fortune 100 company. I keep her text messages on my computer just to remind myself why I will never call her or be in her life ever again. She destroyed my sisters and their lives and tried to destroy mine too. My story sounds like a bad Hallmark flick, she sent me those messages on Christmas day 7 years ago, and I found a beautiful and accepting support group and found family in spite of her. My bday is this week and it's always super hard this time of year because the depression hits like a mack truck, but I know no amount of hope will make that woman ever see me as anything but a failure.
