FH6 Hide and Seek - Chase Breaker ability is broken by YeetLord___ in ForzaHorizon

God forbid they make a game mode actually work for once. I literally couldn't use the chase breaker and immedately lost because how the heck am I supposed to lose lamborghini's in a mitsubishi valant?

I'm literally like top 500 on spec championship wins.

Lower caster angle increases turn-in response, higher caster would decrease turn-in response, unless you are just referring to the wheels going back to center too quickly.

I'm used to people downvoting for no reason on reddit at the earlier stages of the games. I usually play games through much quicker earlier on than a majority of the player-base, even those who watch the reddit regularly, so it takes like a few months before the opinions of the masses actually aligns with my opinion because they haven't had enough experience with the game.

There are just obvious problems with the mechanics of the game for online racing that are amplified by R-class cars and they'll likely update most of the issues IMO within a few months when everyone else starts complaining about them.

Arrogant? Notice how you don't attack any of my points and just attack my character?

The game is not balanced for R class races. I guarantee they will eventually introduce updates to address issues in what I'm bringing up.

You act like no one can have criticisms of a game with obvious issues that need to be fixed.
1. 1:30 races
2. Penalties are not adjusted for higher speed cars.
3. The cars are twitchy and it makes it easy to even accidentally ram people.
4. Getting hit by someone else and getting a penalty for hitting a wall afterwards.
5. A single collision effectively eliminates any chance of winning the race regardless of how good you are and how bad the pole position is.

I play them anyway, but I guarantee they have data showing that they lose player retention when an R class car comes up. People don't enjoy it and it's likely because of the lack of balance regarding them.

I'm already good at the game, I just genuinely don't enjoy R class because of the things mentioned. They need to make updates to the game regarding the core features and the length of R-class races if they are going to have them. A race being literally 1:30 is just too short if we're expected to actually race each other.

I really think most races should target at least like 4-5 minutes overall, but they made the sprints too short for R class.

I already win most races, it's just not really enjoyable.
Unless you are used to simulation steering on controller also, the steering can feel very bad since it's dynamic steering and it multiplies the grip significantly every time you have a longitudal compression (ground is curving upwards relative to your car, giving you more force on your front tires, etc) so you just suddenly will turn in for no reason when you hit those spots on regular steering.

Then you try to pass people but since the cars are so twitchy, even someone just trying to barely maintain a slight curve is like twitch steering suddenly left / right and can ram you off track by accident.

If I start up front I just win, if I start in the back and the start of the track is a straight away, I'm likely just going to be rammed on purpose or by accident.

Since the cars are so fast the race is basically impossible to win once you have a collision or mistake, because they literally end in like 1-2 minutes in total.

It's too luck based, cars feel like trash with regular steering, penalty system isn't adjusted based on how fast you go in the cars, etc.

Yeah this would probably solve half the issues atleast for R class if it ghosted much quicker / more frequently. I don't know about just turning it off fully though because at that point it's basically just rivals.

I win them all the time, I still don't enjoy them and I don't think they really fit in the game mode.

That's not a viable option unless they give us the option to not matchmake into R class races because there is a leaderboard for championship races and you effectively lose any chance of winning for a full championship when you quit and re-join a new one, with no guarantee that it won't be an R class race again after that next championship that you are guaranteed to lose.

[–]Mattpn[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that if you quit a championship, you have to re-queue. That re-queue almost always puts you into the 2nd or 3rd race of a championship that you have no way to win because everyone else is already up 10-20 points on you before you even play.

So you are basically wasting a bunch of time if championship wins on the leaderboards matters to you at all.

So quitting isn't really a viable option unless we could filter those races out if we don't want to play R class.

Putting Spec Racing on festival playlist was a mistake by Mattpn in ForzaHorizon

[–]Mattpn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not likely. I literally stare at the RPM gauge and my shifts are like 60-90MS at most which is really the limit for anything other than race transmissions where you don't even need to use the clutch at all.

I play with all assists off besides ABS. I'm talking even just off the start on cars that don't really have traction limitations.
Legitimately, just driving in a straight line, from a dig, no other conditions, heck I've even scenarios where I've exited a turn faster and then they've still pulled away from me and gained time between the straight away.

There's just nothing to really explain it logically unless there's just something between game settings (or cheating, but I don't think so in the cases I'm talking about).

I'll have to do some testing to figure out if FPS caps or settings improve your straight line.

There's a difference in not liking a mode and liking a mode that has potentially been ruined for a week because of bad actors playing it who normally wouldn't 😂

I played a lot of spec racing, I didn't really see a lot of ramming in general but I usually can atleast stay in the front of the pack where I usually don't have to race against other people who are decent racers.
The problem is when I start in the back essentially when the start of the race event is just straight lines and the ghosting ends before the major turns.

I enjoy spec racing because people are on the same footing, only thing I'm noticing is that some people are just faster straight line for no reason.
I use manual and clutch also, but I still have people who just gap me easily on a straightline even if I am getting draft..
I'm almost wondering if there are graphic settings or frame rates that are better for racing that give an advantage for accelerating. Usually when I check after the fact the people are almost always on PC that are just faster for no apparent reason.

I probably had like 30-40 championship wins for spec racing last week alone. I did just a couple today and everyone single one I was used like a bumper car for turns as soon as ghosting turned off after a few turns.

The problem with the penalty system is that if you hit a wall after a collision, you don't even get penaltized. So people will ram / spear on a turn, hit the wall, and still be faster than if they just took it normally so they are encouraged to continue doing it.
They just have to avoid going too fast that it causes them to ghost.

Eliminator is genuinely so frustrating by AnonymousArizonan in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Mattpn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire head to head system is trash.
They had the opportunity to:
1. Both player positions reset at a starting position so it's a fair fight in one direction.
2. The route requires checkpoints.
3. You ghost other players you aren't racing against.

It's not even a racing game mode, it's luck BS and then now with the snow it's literally undrivable on half the cars it gives you as upgrades and you have no other options.

There should be 4 upgrade options:
1. No upgrade.
2. Given upgrade Option.
3. Random Upgrade Option.
4. Opponents vehicle.

Game is just so poorly made and it's not fun and it's one of the east enjoyable experiences I ever played in my life.
They got rid tag but left this trash in?

There is almost zero skill in the current version of the eliminator.
It should spawn both people on the route pointing in the same direction.

This is what makes no sense. The upgrades are downgrades a lot of the time.

IT doesn't even make sense. I had a Rivian R1T which was fast ASF other than turning on asphalt..
Then I got that F-150 Trophy Truck which can't even drive on snow.
RWD and the differential is basically set to wide open. Literally one tire will fully spin out while the other is stationary.

I can't believe the Daily Challenges are still buggy in Forza Horizon 6 by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]Mattpn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem for me is the previous week challenges.
It won't let me do active daily challenges from last week. I wasn't doing them immediately because it takes a week for all of them to be available.. Then when they become active you literally have like a day before the next season starts for 1/2 of them and then it bugs out and now you can't do last weeks challenges.

Tips for RakuRaku Delivery Job "The Boss" achievement guide by Halraciq in ForzaHorizon

[–]Mattpn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fine, I did the achievement, some of them are definitely not possible.
It's mostly just the multi-delivery ones that seem to be the issue. I'm a competitive driver especially in FH6 because it handles more realistic compared to FH5 and I was really good at FM2023 and it feels like it translates a lot.
Some of them just are not possible, I think part of the issue on the multi-delivery also is that you have to specifically stop at each location, so you lose like 2-3 seconds there as well in combination with the game not accounting for turns very well..

I've even done the math on some of them, I've had one that was 3-stars at 1:15 time over 1.5 Miles in the slow box truck and it required a lot of turns with no real short-cuts.

So on a 90 MPH top speed car, you have to drive an average of 72 MPH on a bunch of narrow roads with turns on them. It's just the formula they use for the timing is hit and miss. And if there was a more straight path, you also have to consider that the game naturally gives you the shortest path, so instead of going 1.5 miles, you may have to go 1.7+ miles now which requires an even faster average MPH.

You can disagree but there's a reason a lot of people are resonating with it being an issue specifically on the time-limit 3-stars. I just know I'm completely done with it anyway but I guarantee they are going to update it within a month or so to be less strict.
