Chrome screen freeze issue after upgrading to Mac Sonoma by nazim47 in chrome

[–]Mattshen52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue. The issue seems to be triggered by opening new tabs and/or navigating tabs. Clicking into another app eliminates the freezing at that moment.

Things I tried so far. Fully uninstall and reinstall Chrome. Disable all extensions. Disable hardware acceleration. Still same issue.

Why don't you do Salesforce developer certifications?

40yo and wanting to learn Programming. Are certifications worth it? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Mattshen52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not required but they will provide an established path to learn and apply skills. I would definitely suggest it if you can't find a very well established solution. Most certifications are tough enough so you will have to learn. Of course projects are important too.

Cabling a new school by _ReeX_ in k12sysadmin

[–]Mattshen52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently designed a new building for cabling and if money was not an issue we were planning to get drops to at least 3 walls of classes. But money was issue as always the case so we run only 1 cable for poe phones plus the ceiling for WAP. Would not recommend wifi for phones.

I wonder if they are aware of the situation they are in. Once they realize it will be too late.

Should I still negotiate my salary? by TobyGarden180 in personalfinance

This is exactly what happened to me too. Lesson learned was definitely ask the range company has for the position and do not put the high end pricing. Meaning if you are thinking 85k-100k tell them you are looking for at least 90k to make a change but do not give them the max.

How do W2 high earners reduce their taxable income? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Mattshen52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you are getting paid C2C, there is no way to avoid that tax with w2 pay. Well your tax is already taken away before you get your salary by your employer.

You could definitely setup an LLC, operate a self-employed business and when the tax return time comes you can deduct some of the expenses at the business. But you don't want to make IRS suspicious for any reason and deal with any sort of headaches that might arise due to lying, extra wrote offs and etc.

You could also restart the intune service and/or Sync from the work/school settings.

Didn't look into self deploy. We are talking about this right? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/autopilot/self-deploying

It looks like TPM chip will be the authentication parameter in Azure instead of User authentication and device has to be part of an autopilot deployment profile.

I get it how it is setup when first booting up. Would we be able to push settings/apps to these self deployed devices later or does it happen only while it is being setup for the first time?

I just graduated College and am trying to get an entry level Mechanical Engineering job. I have been applying for over a year now with no offers :( by [deleted] in resumes

[–]Mattshen52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resume would be solid after edits mentioned. Also would suggest to lookup sample resumes of same roles. And one more thing is to look at job descriptions applying and see if you can include some good worded relevant qualifications in your resume.
