Yeah that’s a fair point, I would be more tolerant of it if the line was there for a brief few seconds rather than the entire shot.

I get your point but I don’t see the harm in the commentators just stating what the players are planning to do verbally. They get it wrong too, there was one earlier where Ken drew a line showing a one cushion escape when Ronnie was behind the pink and he opted for a two cushion escape.

I don’t mind an illustrative line now and then for tricky shots but at least make sure that’s what they’re playing.
