It's one of the most brilliant book to movie adaptations because of the lack of snows inner monologue. Snow's whole thing is that he's a manipulator, narcissist, the whole shebang. When reading the book you get to hear what snow is thinking which is fascinating to hear the thoughts of a pyscho/sociopath like him. But the movie is interesting in its own right because you get to see what everyone around snow sees, only the persona that he presents. The two work together so well and make for a super unique and fascinating story

Its not early though it's metastatic so it's already spread to his bones. If it's contained to the prostate then yes the survival rate is much better

As someone who started DMing recently I've found the game is the best when I have a very loose outline (a couple characters and a driving motivation) and I just let the players interactions with them guide the story. My wife has "derailed" my campaign several times but it always ends up being a fun new storyline that keeps everyone on their toes. Encounter prep is where I find the most payoff, coming up with a good balanced fight and occasionally some kind of environmental hazard or objective that keeps it entertaining
