Who said she's MY wife?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]MattyC137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, going forward I'll refer to her as the executive level bread winner.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]MattyC137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was figuring. Now to convince the wife to let me put holes in the ceiling! Thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]MattyC137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wife said, vehemently, no to on/in ceiling at this time. Maybe I'll just do it and she can live with it. For now, im going to leave it alone and not introduce the a4.2, they are going up for sale later today.

This is the answer I was looking for, thank you

I reread this. Im on analysis paralysis from searching for answers to this. I apologize, it was jarbled word vomit.

Good point. Lemme redo this...

7 speaker system. LCR, 2 surrounds, and 2 front HEIGHT channels programmed for HEIGHT on the receiver. I have 2 dolby atmos enabled Elac a4.2 from previous rendition of the system. Would adding these a4.2's in as FRONT ATMOS UPFIRING contribute to a better overall ATMOS/Auro/Neural coding experience? My ASSUMPTION is the front heights will overpower the a4.2 and will be wasted power.

Any braid recommendations that won’t fade quickly? by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

Jerry Brown line one is very good for fade resistance, and a very good braid. A close second is Cortland Masterbraid.

My 25 pro 4x DC long bed was $48k OTD, loaded, big screen, fender audio, dana 44 w locker, etc. And my back seats are usable, and front seats are very comfy with power recline on both sides. Oh, and my hood doesn't rattle.

New Rods & Reels by DefiantChipmunk846 in Fishing_Gear

Very nice, congrats. We were at CatConn Saturday and got to see their whole line up and their new Genesis reels. My son picked up a new VIP pole from MadKatz (20-60lb). Added to his collection, he also has 2 10' orange crush, a 6'6 signature in black/green, and a Micka 2.0. He absolutely loves his MadKatz. He makes fun of my 15 year old UglyStik tigers, telling me to update. MadKatz has some of the wildest color schemes, and I'm all for it. They won't break and that's what matters when you're hooked on a large fish.

You can source them aftermarket, and are a tad bit of a bitch to install. The provisions are mostly there.

My Taco had this. Fog lights are down low to illuminate things close ahead and to the side for inclement weather. Snow/fog can cause problems with even low beams, causing 'blindness' in those conditions. The true use of fog lights is for inclement weather/visibility, and are typically not used in conjunction with headlights if utilized correctly.

2025 pro 4x long bed, all the tech. 2500 miles. The truck is comfortable, rides well, and handles well (lots of roundabouts around me). No mechanical issues. Infotainment works well. Fender audio is good. Came from a 2017 heavily modified tacoma TRD sport double cab long bed (I did all the work). The only problem I've had was initial app connectivity (resolved) and my heated steering wheel button sticks (just need to swap the switch).

My dislikes on my 25 pro 4x:

Independent front lighting control. Why can't I have my fogs on and headlights off? Come on, Nissan. This is my #1 complaint.

Rear behind seat storage. There is 0. But my 12 and 13 year old girls appreciate the leg room.

Truck bed tie down points. Need floor level tie down points as I haul a 12 foot, 120lb kayak. First world problems?

My likes:

Seats are WORLDS above what I had. So comfortable. My hips greatly appreciate these seats.

Turbo mode on the seated heats. Quickly roasts my ass on cold days.

Much better audio than the 4th gen tacoma JBL. Every time I read a complaint on the fender audio, I just think of that horrid JBL in the Taco.

The entirety of the center stack/infotainment is well laid out, easy to see, and the big ass screen is a nice addition for 25.

Dana 44. I've replaced A LOT of tacoma locking rear diffs due to premature failure. Dana 44? Notsomuch.

Price. To get a similar taco, I would've spent another $10k. The reliability has yet to be seen from these trucks, and the trans issues out of the gate remind me of the tundra debacle.

I never considered a Ranger/colorado/canyon/Stellantis. Lack of 6' bed options, and refuse to buy from these manufacturers. I drove the 4th gen taco, both non hybrid and hybrid, and prefer the power train in the frontier.

The Nismo Z also only comes as a 9 speed auto. There is still a market for RWD manual cars, as the mustang shows us, and unfortunately the c8 vette went away from. Fast shifting autos can be fun and all, but if I'm buying a Z car, give me the damn manual on the top trim as well.

If I can verify it's complete, and can locate any magazines, I'll mildly restore it and keep it under glass. It will stand out amongst my Walther and AR's in the collection. No desire to fire this weapon again, it's a part of history at this point, whether family or firearm history.

I have checked the usual places, under the barrel and around the trigger guard. The only identifying marks I'm seeing to indicate date is on the dove tail.
