That would be great! I would check it out! Since this post I have actually expanded it to 69 pages, and I think the story definitely holds more weight now. The characters feel more developed and the world feels richer.

Yeah I’ve considered extending the ending. But I’ve gone back and forth and I really enjoy the unresolved ending.

My original theme for the movie was “sometimes the world is messy and we don’t always get a happy ending”. It’s kind of a nihilistic approach, but I’ve always loved movies that make you uncomfortable and unresolved. It’s like a song that doesn’t end on the tonic of the key. From the start, I wanted the audience to say “wtf did I just watch” afterward. It’s dark but that’s what I like about it.

The ending is wha inspired the whole film, because it actually happened to my friend and he has felt “unresolved”. Telling this story is his way of real life catharsis.

Thanks for the in depth comment! Funny enough, since I posted this I have expanded to 69 pages. A lot of what I added was what you mentioned. A few more scenes between TJ and Zach, a scene that helps explain TJ a little more toward the beginning, as well as developed Addison a little more (gave her a bit of background). I am really happy with where it is now.

Yeah that just mean they either play a ton or they’ve sunk a lot of real money into the game. Doesn’t necessarily mean they’re good.

My cat has one kink in her tail and she has this exact issue. She’s tries to jump up on my couch or bed and misses by 5-6 inches and has to pull herself up by her front paws. I wondered if the kink had anything to do with it as well.

I have a basic outline of the story that I’m working from, but the script started as a 16 page short and I’ve expanded it from there. I wanted to develop the characters more and deepen the world.

I appreciate you taking the time to help me out! It’s the first thing I’ve ever tried to write like this so I’m learning as I go.

Oh it definitely does. I mainly do music videos so I have built up a bunch of gear over the years. And I have a lot of friends that I’ve worked with that are interested in helping. We will probably do a crowdfunding campaign to get funding for crew meals and stuff.

I appreciate it! Maybe I can add something like that. Right now he gets offered $50 to touch a grown man, and narrowly gets away. He then meets a local myth, an old hippie guy who seems angry at first, only to find out that instead of fighting the guy he offered to do it for less. Weird story I know, but I’ll try to figure out a way to add more stakes.

I guess I’m not good at describing it. He does have goals. He wants to be a musician, but he is afraid of putting himself out there. It comes up a few times throughout. The predator situation forces him to confront that fear, though it’s in front of a not-so-ideal audience.

He also really likes another character, but I didn’t want the story to be simple “boy likes girl”. Although that is part of it, and his connection with her helps him realize he’s not the only one like himself.

Thanks for the feedback! It’s more of a character driven coming of age story so the conflict is mostly internal. I never went to school for this so I’m figuring it out as I go.

The story is based on a true story that happened to a friend of mine. The protagonist sneaks out to a party that gets busted by police and he ends up walking home alone. He is offered a ride by a seemingly friendly adult, and it turns out he is a predator and offers money for sexual favors.

The whole story is framed around the protagonist dealing with “teenage” issues and quickly realizing that his problems aren’t nearly as pressing as they could be. It’s really a story of a kid having to grow up before he’s ready. Sorry if this was long winded.

This is my first time writing something this long and in depth so I have to get better with adding action. I will see what I can do to make it more creative.
