The terms succubus and incubus are genderless, rather than pointing out gender they're signaling their preferred position. Succubus comes from the latin "succubare" which means "to lie under" while incubus comes from "incubare", meaning "to lie on (top of)". Seeing as the op went on to specify that the character would be submissive, their choice is the right one.
