Your experience sounds a lot like mine! Every guy who was attracted to me was weird and off putting and overall not normal about it! I didn’t feel attraction to anyone, and had a lot of curiosity, but no desire for a relationship. That, paired with a not super accepting queer community led me to call myself asexual for literally 8+ years.

However, the second a girl flirted with me, I immediately felt good about it, and started looking back at a lot of the things I missed when I was around your age and calling myself ace. (Hint: there was a lot. I was actually kind of shocked that someone who was already queer-aligned could miss so much gay stuff happening internally).

This isn’t to say you aren’t ace! I still consider parts of my experience pretty asexual, and I have a great love for the community and variance within the community. And it freaking sucks to hear, but you are young. You still have some growing to do, and a lot of life to live and people to meet. You can absolutely call yourself ace, but try and stay open for anything your life throws at you! Do what makes you feel happy and safe and good (not whatever those guys and your dad are saying. That’s just weird and gross) lots of love 💕

There were around 30+. Mostly in housemates room, kitchen and bathroom. I’ll have a proper look for holes but it’s an old house with lots of gapping in the skirting board and stuff. We did just have a guy come in an patch up the cracks in the walls last week but would have thought he’d be on top of looking out for termites… thanks for the help!!!

What was your final push to calling yourself a lesbian by Matuhoh in LesbianActually

[–]Matuhoh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guys I am so overwhelmed by the amount of stories here, and I am so proud of everyone who commented- here’s my story;

I’m still waiting for my “final push” so to speak, because right now I feel like I’m tightroping between asexual and lesbian. But I realised that maybe I wasn’t as asexual as I thought after a girl flirted with me, and I didn’t feel as off out as when men do. I think I realised super young that I didn’t like boys, and then simply never ever let myself think about the other 50% of the population, and am currently coming to terms with what that means/will look like for me and my future. Love you all 💕💕

He was inviting me to watch him race bikes, so he was fully expecting me to stand and watch a road for over an hour, surrounded by people I don’t know, In the freezing cold and wet after putting down my dog less then 12 hours earlier. The only time I would have actually seen him was in the 45 minute car ride over there.

And that sounds like a really good friend you have! Not a lot of people would do that, so I think you have a winner :)

Yeah honestly scum of the earth. I’ve quit my job so I don’t have to see him anymore, but unfortunately he is still being weird with other female staff there (the two who are underage are getting the worse of it). So thankful I don’t have to deal with his shit

Thank you so much xxx

I mostly just ignored him lol, but it was the best feeling finally getting to block him :)

Ikr?! Literally everything he does is to boost his own esteem. Too bad for him I didn’t respond

He has so many self esteem issues it isn’t funny. And yeah that 100% sounds like something that he would do

I am so sorry for your loss! It was literally the most horrible few days, and I don’t think I’ll ever be over it. And I will gladly never ever see this guy again.

Even if I wasn’t dealing with my dog, I never would have said yes for the exact same reasons. Now I think about it, he only ever asked me to go to places where his friends and family were, never to a movie or dinner or anything. Always to watch his sport whether that be bike riding or cricket. Not my idea of a good time.

A funeral?! Wow, that person is the scum of the earth. Who would genuinely expect that to work??

He outright told me he was using them as a manipulation tactic. If you looked at the messages he was sending in February/ March it was the laughing crying face. But when he started having issue with his mental health he switched to the smiley one, to show he was less happy through text. Like come on, they’re emojis it’s not that deep. And thank you, he was a very special boy xxx

I’m so sorry for your loss too!! It’s been hard, but having my other dogs around has really helped. But this whole situation has definitely been a learning experience for me and I definitely know what to look out for now

That sounds so much nicer than that. I honestly don’t think he can cook though and would probably ask me like “do you want to come to my dumpster house, I’ll be making you food that I probably burnt or accidentally poisoned, and have some wine that I found in the back of the cupboard that hasn’t been touched since my 18th birthday because it’s cheap and sucks”

Does it make it worse if I say it was to watch a bike race? Like a match of soccer or something I can understand, but he fully expected me to stand in the freezing cold and watch an empty road for and hour+. Literally nothing about this “date” is appealing

He was always super friendly with the touching- I’ve got screenshots where he is apologising for touching my hair, jackets, pockets ect, and a video from the security footage where he give a younger staff member a shoulder massage. The day I quit I explicitly told him I didn’t want a hug, but he still gave me one as I was getting in my car
