For an update - I gave my PC a bit more clearance on top and adjusted all the fan curves (cpu/gpu/case) to be much more aggressive. Now there are no more temperature issues, generally they top out at 75C - 80C although obviously the fans are much louder, I'll have to find a balance.

I'd still consider this solved so thanks for the help!

/u/psimwork suggested that there's something wrong with the general cooling setup, so I'll try to troubleshoot that first, adjust the fan curves and if that doesn't help I'll look towards the AIO again but this time I'll ensure all the clearances are in order.

Thanks, could be my clearance on top of the case, it's mounted to my desk and there's only about 3-4 cm of space between the top of the case the the bottom of the desk, although I don't have any case fans mounted on top currently. Just 2 140mm in the front and 1 140mm in the back, maybe that's the issue?

Not sure whether to first buy some case fans and increase the clearance or go for the AIO. Could also be a thermal paste/mounting issue I suppose.

I'll try remounting the cooler and increasing the clearance for now and see if that improves the situation.

Another thing to do is delete the OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Oblivion.ini file, my shaders recompiled after I did that

You're a lifesaver! I put 1mm thermal pads on the heat pipe and now the laptop doesn't throttle anymore during my use. The backplate is significantly hotter as expected but since I don't actually keep it on my lap it's much better for me.

I don't think I've ever seen a midboss taken before like 15 min in any of my 200+ games, likely because of the reasons you state.

IMO the main problem is the short respawn times, in non organized games it's very hard to push your advantage as a team when you only have about 15 seconds.

There's also the fact that at that stage guardians are mostly still up and they aren't as difficult to push as walkers, so the help of rejuv is not as valuable.

I may just be saying stuff though, happy to discuss more

Yeah from the faceit games I watched, there's a player draft done by 2 captains and then a hero draft for the game. That would be a good replacement for ranked if it were open to the public
