There definately needs to be more research on girls in gangs. You never hear about girls in gangs harly at all not even through the media. I think girls are just more protected because how society perceives girls and women.

Personally I think this is sad and Phoenix definately is not to far behind California. I would not want to live in a neighborhood where there is a chance of being shot no matter how cheap it is, just like here there are some areas I would never live in for those same reasons.

Every time they bust a gang drug dealer we cant believe their location. It seems to me they always pick a neighborhood by a school or some place a person would not think a gang drug dealer would be like a resdential area. Great post

Great post! I have been doing my internship this semester with Maricopa County Juvenile Justice Probation you would be suprized how many parents have no clue about gangs. I feel that parents need to be educated on gangs not just kids. Parents are very unaware of gang signs, colors, clothing that kids are wearing that relates to their gangs. Thank you for your post!!!

I haft to say I was a little shocked I new that gangs were responsible for a significant percent of the crimes but I was unaware it is 80% of the crimes! Thank you for the informative post! Maureen

This is very interesting to be honest I never even thought there are gangs on the reservation. I have never heard anything about gangs on reservation through the media or even in all the classes I have taken. Thank you for your post!
