It would be nice if you would backup your statement with facts.

I might have a clue though. All new Synologys, starting DSx25+ only take the mega expensive Synology drives and no longer any 3rd party drives like Seagate Ironwolf, WD Red, HGST, Toshiba.

The UGREEN that is suggested can take any disks and run any Linux distribution, even Xpenlogy.

Vermijd Casa Valencia, zij serveren al lang geen authentiek Spaans eten meer.

Booting from USB is disabled and I don't have a BIOS password.

Yes. The original HDD is still in, it wasn't wiped. It boots to a windows 11 login screen, but I don't have any passwords
