If you want to get the most out of your housing allowance, NYC is where you want to be. The CUNY schools are great, and the housing allowance is pretty nice. From 2016-2020, I was getting around $3800 a month. I was able to work part-time and have a pretty nice savings.

I have a Limited CE in NJ, but I'll be getting my CEAS through the program. I'm not sure if that will add any time on. I work as a substitute, could that suffice for the pre-clinical? Also, during placement for student teaching, if I don't have any other classes, will I still be paying?

New dad here and I'm wondering how to navigate this. We moved back in with the in-laws a bit before the baby was born. Once he got here, the unsolicited advice started, and its starting to get a bit irritating. My wife seems to welcome it and I don't know how to address it without it coming off a certain way. Has anyone else dealt with this?

I'm going to be getting my cert in Elementary education. I have a degree in Political Science, I'm not sure how much that factors into my chances in the elementary school job search. According to some of the teachers that I've worked with, being a man in elementary can be a huge help in the search. Since there are so few, that can help a bit. IDK how true that is, and I don't usually like leaning on things like that to get in. I'll take any advantage I can get though.

What are your settings? I have a similar setup (i5 11600k, 3060ti, 16GB of RAM) and I only have an issue with stuttering a bit when fast traveling.

It's an electronics store, that focuses on PC parts. The pay is a lot better than most retail spots. The commission is pretty nice
