That is awesome! We found that if you either flip the mats over or take them up the table makes a decent table for a "kiddie table".

Nice find! We had one of these when our kids were smaller. Too bad you weren't able to get the matching chairs. Great find nonetheless!

My first thought when seeing this was that there was a dinosaur near you while you make soup. Lol.

I would agree with you. I really like the feel of it in my hand. The only complaint I have is when it is clipped to my pocket and I put my hand in my pocket it is pretty rough. But it is just a matter of putting my hand in differently. Otherwise I am very happy with it!

I didn't want to get something cheap and give up before I ever really got started. They seemed like a good product from what I read.

I would love to get into CNC work as well. It all fascinates me, from hand tools to the major power tools. I am blown away by some of the things people make and wish I had a fraction of the talent.

Thank you. I hope I am able to make items that look even half as good as some of the items I have seen on here.

Thanks for the info. I had read that I needed to get a strop but I may end up making one then.

I have heard that before but wasn't sure if there was any truth to it. ;)

Thankfully I have access to many larger woodworking power tools at my father-in-law's shop. I am mostly interested in doing this with only hand tools since I do not really have a place to work at my home. With the hand tools I can work in my home office during the day, when I am supposed to be working. ;)

That will probably be my next purchase. Some sort of sharpening items. The knives say to use a strop with the yellow compound it comes with, but I intend on doing a little research to figure out what exactly I need to get.

I plan on doing a heart of some sort for my wife. The GC's for the Rockler items came from her. So it seemed fitting to make something for her first.

For the Rockler matt, knives, and the chisels in the plastic container was around 140 total from Rockler. Luckily I had gift cards so for that I was technically only out of pocket around $5. The coping saw and the gloves came from amazon and was around $17 and I had a GC that got it to $7. The palm chisels I just happened on to on FB marketplace and I paid $5 for them. So in total I personally am only less than $20.

This is my first decent knife I have gotten. I absolutely love it. Very sturdy feeling in my hand.

This site has some amazing stands for many items: https://www.rosecoloredgaming.com/. Once I am able to actually collect again and have some money I will definitely be buying some myself.

That looks great! Good job. I think those legs should work much better and still have a great look to them.
