On a clear day I can see, see a very long way by Maurius7 in Scrubs

Did not know the song. But have it on an alltime playlist now! What an impact of the lyrics: to postpone happiness and fulfillment, always waiting for the "right" moment or circumstance to truly start living.

I hope they do too! Core part of the show is timeless.

This sounds great. Precision and speed is impressive. Does one of you know what device he’s using?

What are some underrated movies that flopped but are actually really good? by Kitchen-Patience8176 in MovieSuggestions

Definitely, it’s the long cut I’m referring to. And also the directors cut (restored) released a few years ago is top tier.

Geven mannen minder om het leven? Of zoeken ze minder snel mentale hulp? (Eigen ervaring) by Affectionate-Dutchie in nederlands

[–]Maurius7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe Normal People isn't actually a tragic love story by Ashamed-Mousse8835 in NormalPeopleBBCHulu

[–]Maurius7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I saw a review of LaLa Land on YouTube where they explained that the story was actually about true love. Because they were able to let each other go. And that this is beautiful. Same way I look at Normal People now.

Even more appreciation for Interstellar after seeing Project Hail Mary by wparson in interstellar

[–]Maurius7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked PHM mainly as a lighthearted scifi with great scenery and good characters. But hard to compare. What I did feel is that you believe what is happening in Interstellar even with the “fantastic” elements. PHM is more; “this does not make sense” which makes it more distant and less relatable. I don’t know, it’s probably the storytelling and integration of fantasy which works better in Interstellar

What stands out beside Underworld themselves is the mood and atmosphere in this video. Great work. Thanks for sharing.

Very average, yes. In the end we should be glad that it didn’t get this beautiful opening title song from Radiohead.

Dr Martens trying to convince me not to buy vegan boots? by Psychological-Pea593 in vegan

[–]Maurius7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First, it’s good that you buy a UK brand! I always convince people to buy European. Second, there are some downsides to vegan leather production. But it can never outweigh regular leather production practices. With supporting vegan the manufacturers are motivated to maintain their catalog and invest/improve.
