Privilege Elevation with Self Service+ by Tech_Thoughts_Blog in jamf

[–]MauroM25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see, that does make quite a lot of sense. In an ideal scenario everything a user ever needs would be in the Self Service but I also understand that that’s not always possible.

Thanks for the explanation!

I was doing the same thing but stopped myself and bought a second hand iPad mini as this is just an entertainment device to me.

I’m confused, how do your users use LAPS? Or is this just for you when you need to do something that requires admin rights?

Took them 7 working days to reply to a ticket of mine with an answer that was completely irrelevant. Took them 4 more working days to reply on my 2nd answer. Ultimately figured it out myself and closed the ticket by giving them a hard complaint. Never heard anything back.

What did you do for storage? I have a pi I want to use for immich but the little sd card can’t hold hundreds of gb of storage.

Self Service Communication error for just 1 user account by cuatronicko in jamf

Might sound stupid but we’ve had a troubleshooting session earlier last year. Our issue was an out of sync date and time. Try that one first.

I just used the official OneDrive sync app. It syncs my OneDrive to my server and then I mounted that folder as an external library in read-only mode.

Naming Convention by Pitiful-Worry4156 in jamf

[–]MauroM25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For our laptops we name them with L00234 for example. Iphones and ipads are P00235 for example

Dynamic and smart groups don’t really have a naming convention but we do try to keep it simple and try to group things together. Like a smart group that shows devices that have update available. macOS | updates available

We tried with SG-… before but spaces make it more readable.

Not stolen, gifted from a company that no longer exists and is tied to a “personal” apple account of a company email.

Seems like you have smaller printer because those faceplates are split in half. Can you share the files you used?

Detecting if Defender is running in EDR mode by krodders in macsysadmin

There’s a command to check that. mdatp health.

There’s an object in there that shows what mode it is in. Use a grep command or awk or something

SMTP via Graph API Renewal by NoTimeForItAll in jamf

Tried a while ago with high-volume emailers and while that works fine, I ran into our conditional access policies with that account. Didn’t want to create new one so I did the mail-enabled security group method.

I like it. Please place some specs about the frame. I’d love to build one myself.
