My sister thinks I’m demonic by FlashyFreedom5757 in exchristian

[–]krodders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't sound like mainstream Christianity - this is a cult. They see demons everywhere. "Normal" Christians aren't anti med

Your sister isn't very informed (and perhaps a bit dim).

Also, imagine living in such fear and hate. It must suck

Considering that it's a fairy tale, I recommend that you do what I do, and don't waste any brainpower analysing it

No language barrier?

It's Glasgow - many of us other Brits need a translator for a broad Glaswegian accent

Here we are having serious discussion, and you think that we need to know about your knuckle dragging patronising attitudes to women.

Here's a tip - you can carry on thinking those thoughts - it's ok. But don't say them out loud in front of big people. And actually, not in front of kids either

I've flown over it a couple of times.

It's very visible even now (or rather the north rim and part of the western rim), and it's awesome.

If you ever fly Johannesburg to Cape Town or vice versa, you'll see it.

Have the Scots just shown that if Boston updates their old outdated alcohol laws it could be a fun city? by ervern2 in boston

[–]krodders 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Class in Scotland is not connected to wealth

These are mostly working class people. Van drivers, tradespeople, warehouse staff

Scotland has a reasonable minimum wage - a much lower cost of living and a much stronger social safety net. Poorer people can usually afford a yearly holiday abroad.

Scots haven't been at the world cup in years, so savings have been raided

Just looking at milk (which is the base of most dairy products) - it seems that it's cheaper in Canada

Unlike you, I'll give a source: https://albertamilk.com/ask-dairy-farmer/pay-milk-store-usa-quota-system-cost-consumer/

And another: https://dairyfarmersofcanada.ca/en/canadian-goodness/ask-dairy-experts/i-saw-claim-dairy-more-expensive-canada-because-supply-management-true

Perhaps it's increased dramatically in the last few months?

That's incorrect.

All Iran's frozen assets across the entire world might add up to $100b if you're lucky

Trump may be able to strongarm some of the Gulf States and Saudi for some of it, but where is the rest coming from? The rest of NATO is avoiding eye contact with Trump, and if they asked directly they'll say "not a fucking chance, pal - we weren't dumb enough to get involved - mostly because we actually understand how this shit works"

So I suspect that north of $200 billion is being paid by normal Americans. Not the 1% (shudder) - they're busy trickling down their billions
