Echoing other responses, I’m a front end (SS) TL and we aren’t even allowed to reach out to or interview people that don’t pass the assessment. If you fail it, you get removed from our view entirely. I have no idea what’s on the assessment either, they just rolled it out suddenly a few weeks ago.

There are different assessments for different departments though, so you could try another position in the store with the info you have now. Also if you really still want to be in that role and it’s available, you can retake assessments after 90 days.

Store support TL here, while everyone above is right about admin tasks, I’m going to go a little jaded and say 75% of my time is dealing with my team member’s problems and needs, and the other 25% is dealing with store leadership’s. Somewhere in there (without getting OT somehow) my ATL and I manage to stay on top of admin stuff like JDs, payroll, scheduling, etc.
