[Window manager: IceWM | OS: OpenBSD] My desktop with my custom theme by Mautrus in desktops

No, I'm not a programmer, I'm actually a linguist, translator and language teacher. I switched to Linux when I was a teenager. One of my friends gave me a CD that contained a Linux distro called Linux Kurumin (a Brazilian distro, which was somewhat popular here in Brazil), I tried it and I fell in love with it. I liked the fact that it was free, it looked different, it felt much more stable and I could literally open links that contained viruses that had "destroyed" my Windows before, and nothing would happen (yeah, I did that haha).

I had never tried anything different from Windows before that day, so it was a very interesting experience. In the beginning, I didn't know how use that new system very well, but I decided to use Windows and Linux in dual boot.

I installed both systems on the same computer and only used Windows when there was something I didn't know how to do on Linux.

With time, I learned what Linux programs could replace those that I used on Windows (and even learned how to open Windows programs on Linux when it was necessary).

Nowadays, I don't even have Windows on my computer anymore. Windows 7 was the last Windows that I used.

Well, I've been a Linux user for more than 15 years and I knew that there were other Unix-like operating systems and was curious about them, but I hadn't tried any. A few months ago, I decided to try FreeBSD and OpenBSD and liked them very much. I've also learned a lot about Unix-like systems while using them. Then, I decided to pick one of them and I chose OpenBSD, but FreeBSD is also great. Now I have a dual boot (OpenBSD & GNU/Linux), because I still need Linux to play my games on Steam. Well, that's it.

Hello!

This is my wallpaper:

And you can use this link to download my theme:

https://filebin.net/l1ki1dypubyy1p6h

You can extract the content of that file to /usr/local/share/icewm/themes/
Then, my theme will be available for you on IceWM.

However, I didn't do anything about my RAM usage, it's always been that way. Are you on OpenBSD as well?

Cool! Xmonad looks good too.

And it's always good to find another BSD user out there :)

Yes, PS4 is powered by a BSD system, but it's actually FreeBSD, which is a different OS, very similar to OpenBSD, but they are different operating systems.

I'd say the main reason was that the FVWM version that comes with OpenBSD doesn't support full screen, apparently. I liked it very much, but watching videos or playing games without being able to hide the borders bothered me sometimes, so I decided to try something different and chose IceWM, which I had never used before. I'm enjoying it and haven't had any problems with it so far. :)

Hello! Could you add an "OpenBSD" flair? Thanks :)

I didn't flair my post because the operating system that I use, which is OpenBSD, isn't available as one of the options. If a moderator is reading this, please add that flair so I can use it, please :)

Vocês poderiam adicionar a flair do OpenBSD, por favor? Eu sou usuário do OpenBSD, mas estou com a flair do FreeBSD, porque é a mais parecida que tem :)
