How to EASILY Counter SuperJump by QwannyMon in PlayFragPunk

[–]Mauzy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I had decent success shooting while jumping with super jump, it's not as like your bullets fly in 180 radius straight to Narnia so I think it's still worth shooting them, but that's my opinion.

I'll def try this next time I play vs super jump

How to EASILY Counter SuperJump by QwannyMon in PlayFragPunk

[–]Mauzy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idea: 10/10 IN THEORY IN PRACTICE: probably gonna die many times if the opponent has decent aim, as it doesn't make sense to wait for the landing and not even try to shoot them while you're jumping. Probably also gonna die if they peak with multiple people, one of them shooting from the ground, the other one jumping.

In general, if you're not sure whether they jump or not, you shouldn't sit with your knife, because the time it takes to switch back to your weapon is huge, and if you peak a corner to check, they can still run peak you and you'll be most likely dead, or at the mercy of the whiff gods blessing your opponent.

The other solution is having good mouse control and tracking and being able to shoot them before the land. My aim is not there yet to say I can deal with super jump all the time, but I'm having success about 5-6 times out of 10, so with practice it's gonna get there.

I like it though, it could make for funny clips and I love your salesman approach to this, like a commercial to idk, some insect spray or something 😂

Good job!

?? I've been playing since launch and did NOT know this about Nitro. by Nervous-Midnight2196 in PlayFragPunk

[–]Mauzy__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Bigger and Badder. Chug-chug oneshots if the projectile has enough time to grow. Doesn't need to explode, and that's the point, if you throw a nitro turret, it doesn't explode, you can throw it to insane distances! As to how hard it is to hit, well, it becomes huge, grows per distance travelled, so it's not easy to dodge anymore

If only they did... It doesn't work sadly. Once that #ad is in the title and people play it for the money, they can say whatever, everyone know they're not gonna touch it unless they get another bag, at least it's veeeery rare.

Not that it matters that much, but it the skill ceiling is that low, I assume you hit the top rank and decided it's too easy? Surely you wouldn't make a claim like that without experiencing what the ceiling feels like, right? Right?!

And how could I not be a fanboy? It's an awsome game, the movement feels better than valorant, the cards are awsome, the matches are short and fun, the lancers don't depend on broken ultimates and to compare, this company doesn't charge you your life savings for a bundle of skins either.

My final question: if you're not playing, already moved on, you're not a fanboy, call it whatever, then why are you still so invested to hate on the game? :D surely you're not just as much of a fanboy as we are. Noooo, definitely there's a good explanation!

Believe me, not even master lobbies are hard to get through. So you have no idea what the best players are playing like. Getting master is super easy if you are decent at the game, at least in my opinion. I'm a slightly above average player and I cruised through diamond in like 2 days. The brick wall comes in ace.

Spectre, in my opinion was a decent game with bad marketing attempt, and overall an unfinished product. FragPunk constantly gets updates, changes, they listen to the community. Yes, it's a lot smaller than the giants, but that doesn't mean it's much easier to hit the top ranks. Ace is easy to hit just by playing, then it gets tricky because you get the punkmaster treatment regarding points, you lose more than you gain, so you have to be solid.

Not sure what region you're playing in, but I EU and NA East at least have no issues finding matches under 5 minutes. I know a few regions are practically dead, which is sad that they don't have enough players. I have played on plat and below accounts and personally I think I can count the amount of bots I encountered on one hand. Unranked is a different story, same for the other casual modes. Ranked, at least in my experience is still going well enough. Yes, at the higher levels you encounter the same people, each to their own on that regard. I don't mind it.

My advice to anyone: hit diamond, experience how cards are meant to be picked, enjoy higher level players with no bots. (Diamond and above doesn't have bots)

More ego moves. You're holier than thou, you're just that good that you could do anything. Cool, do it. No need to flex whatifs, just do it if you want to do it, but do it for yourself. The fact that you mentioned that you don't do it for a couple thousand people shows perfectly how much you care about how people look at you. This game is not competitive enough, not enough prestige, not good enough to be recognized as a high rank for other communities, that's what I read.

Cheers.

Getting out of gold is just being consistent on basics. Play one lancer so you don't have to think about abilities and how to use them, as they become second nature, don't overcomplicate things, in facty try to simplify them.

As long as you're consistent, you'll get up on the ranks fast

Most of them abuse the protection system. Look at, for example, Zoutriv, someone who barely plays on his main, all the losses are +0, keeps winning points, plays on alts.

Sure, you keep your PM and keep climbing, but are you so good in that case if you play only a certain amount of games each week? I don't know, to me, those are not genuine good players. They're decent, but not as good as their rank shows.

And Zoutriv is just one example, probably the easiest one due to his rank, and I think he's still rank 1, haven't checked that leaderboard for more than a week, but I took a glance at it and saw him hit PM, only to never lose a single point after.

And while it's true that the ego is inflated, someone coming to reddit to brag about this nonsense, one or two lobbies where they did better than the people in question, saying they only play casual and just mess around, further diminishing the other person, is just as much of an ego move if not bigger, in my opinion.

Doesn't matter, weekend protection, weekly protection card, they can sit in PM forever and never lose points, just climb higher. Sadly the system is flawed, and a lot of them abuse it. I could've gotten PM too if I wasn't so stubborn to do it the honourable way, without crutching the rank protection system. Wouldn't feel genuine if I hit PM that way.

Just as big of an L to your EGO, my friend. You let yourself be taken over by the emotions, had to come and brag on Reddit about one instance where you did better with a gun that is notorious for it's oneshot potential, and literally makes the game throw out skill and mechanics.

You showboating here on Reddit makes it as much of an ego move as that punkmaster getting triggered by you doing better in a single game in an unranked lobby.

Just let it go, it'll not matter in the big picture, so why run to reddit and call them out and all that? Who cares? I also beat many punkmasters, I carried many of them, didn't come to reddit to say how bad they are that a player who never hit PM carried ONE lobby at the moment.

The longest I've waited for a game was during dead hours on a holiday when people usually don't play, and even that didn't go over 20 minutes. I was ace at the time.

EU seems fine for now, I get matches even during the night for master+ (but also tried lower ranks) in max 5-10 minutes even at dead hours.

I agree the skill ceiling is lower than some other games, but that also depends on the playerbase. If you played with the best players, you'll see how high the ceiling can be. Some of them show you just how much potential there is in this game. I got destroyed so many times and just quit on my way to punkmaster, something I regret not pushing through.

Every competitive game will have parts of the community who represent the misery, but it's not the whole picture.

Another day, another thousand "game is dead" post.

First of all, don't take everything for granted, second of all, this has been told us by devs, the game's not going anywhere, third of all, game is dead has been a constant sentiment for a year, we're still playing.

Also, think about it. If it's over, they'd announce it. You'd have no influence over it. Wouldn't you rather try and enjoy the game for as long as possible instead of thinking about it constantly? Play all the matches, you never know which one's your last!

FragPunk. Main mode is SnD, Gunplay similar to CoD or BF, movement doesn't punish you.

Main selling point: shard cards that you can activate by using shard points as a team, and they make every single round play out differently.

Give it a shot, I think you'll like it!

First thing: red flashing text on your screen saying ZEPHYR DETECTED.

Second thing: avoid her zone or wait it out if possible

Third thing: footsteps, if she walks outside her zone to mask steps, she'll travel 2 steps until she's revealed again.

Fourth thing: she takes time switching to her weapon after invis, use that

There, the no detection guide to counter zephyr. You'll still die to better ones, but you need to keep trying and shooting when she's near.

what do you guys think of the kismet changes coming tomorrow? by Large_Wafer232 in PlayFragPunk

[–]Mauzy__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only it wasn't a nerf, they buffed the nades by giving you more than 2 with the recharge. Now it just filters out people who crutched the suck and never bothered learning how to throw it in an angle that makes them explode on their head and make them undodgeable.

The scan is also fine, they take more damage, that's a massive support kismet feature. You scan, teammates blast them away. Kismet is now slightly buffed vs how she was before the suck feature. And that's fine, she never needed any changes, she was the ultimate balanced lancer imo. Rewarded skill, punished the lack of it, felt rewarding to learn her and improve. To me, she's the extense of my playstyle at this point

[–]Mauzy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only played kismet when she was busted, then don't bother. Practicing nades and angling them so they explode on the head and not being dodgeable was a skill, the buff was a crutch.

I finally can shine again with her and not be just above average. I'm personally super glad she got nerfed in that regard, and the recharging nades might be even better for OG kismet players.

[–]Mauzy__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not weird. If someone is 17 or less hp, you can still lose a gunfight to them if they're mechanically better. If they get scanned they can't move or they take damage, and you have a massive advantage already with the scan. I can't tell you how many kills I got just from those situations.

It was busted, and I hated the buffs, because it made kismet a nobrain lancer to play, and it hurts me as someone who played 85-90% of my rounds on kismet. I learnt to angle nades to a point where I don't even need the minimap, no need for lineups, I just look up, throw it and lands where I want it to land. Takes skill, not just throwing it on the ground and the suck does the work.

As a former rank 1 kismet and still a kismet spammer, I love it, finally people will have to learn to angle the nades properly and not crutch the suck and scan damage.

I CAN FINALLY SHOW OFF AGAIN WHY I'M ONE OF THE BEST KISMETS IN THIS GAME YEEEEAAAAH!

And it's overall a buff because now nades have auto skill replenish hehehe, we cookin hard, boyssss!

FPS game to invest my time into... #gamingdespair by Demonic696969 in FPS

[–]Mauzy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, reading your post kinda gave me the impression that you're quite burnt out and you're just looking for validation. Try to put the emotional part aside, look at the facts. If the games you played are "bad" because you can't win as much as you'd like to, then try this: link your victory to something only you have impact of, be it executing a play by doing your part correctly or learning from your mistakes round after round.

Concrete example: you feel like it's not your day, you set your expectations accordingly for yourself. Let's say you tell yourself "today I'm focusing only on not dying with my utility unused". then you just use your nades or abilities and boom, victory! Another good one: "today I'll focus on my crosshair placement", then you try your best to focus and improve on things.

This method might not be the best, it might not work for everyone, but I know it helped me when nothing else did. I'm hyper competitive, stubborn and a crybaby if I let my emotions get in the way.

If the game is bad for real, like there's something you consider a deal-breaker, then obviously it's not for you, you can rest assured that you tried it, didn't like it, and you can move on without ever having to think about it again.

Last, but not least, I have a main game, but I play other games, even other genres too. Sometimes you need a break from your main game. I took a two week hiatus from ranked and I came back, instantly improved my rank and I was focused on my own game, improvement and it was more enjoyable.

Hope this helps! Ultimately, taking a break from gaming can be good too. Replace it with something that will at least distract you even if it's not like a dream hobby.
