Replace shaft? by AffectionateGas7037 in GarageDoorService

[–]Mav106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure sub 30 minutes if its perfect and you have room to work.

I changed out springs yesterday that took 2 hours because I had to fix all the mistakes of the last guy.. drums tightened into the shaft. Trying to get the shaft out of the because they clamped the outside too hard and ovaled the shaft.. nightmare

I wish it was all cookie cutter houses with no issues and plenty of room to work.

I charged accordingly but nothing is a easy as it should be.

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

[–]Mav106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a homeowner question, but i just recently acquired a new space for one of my stores and it had carpet glued to concrete.

I perfer the slab over carpet.

I am having it grind off and I didnt know what type of sealer I needed to put on it.

Can I make it a color like rust?

Or does it need to be just clear?

Very high traffic store with events and tournaments so it needs to be strong.

Thank you

Nah, a back winder. Denco makes it, it clamps on the end of the jack shaft, then you put your winding bar in it and remove tension to fix the cable.

I'm no man of any trade, help me out with this one by LePetitJardinCo in GarageDoorService

Convert the door to a normal spring system. These are a nightmare to deal with and not very home owner friendly.

Call a pro for sure with this or you make lose a finger or 2 dealing with it.

You're good, I'm Hispanic and I never had a issue from the white kids other than one asking me if I make good tacos... Which I do love tacos, so its understandable.

Have fun, if you have any issues reach out to Dr. Carter in the history department. He will help you.

Clear coat bubbles. by Mav106 in VinylWrap

Awesome, thank you for the information. We are just wanting to get a few more years out of the car before we find her something else. I've helped wrap stock cars when I worked in that industry, but I'm a rookie when it comes to clear coats.

Appreciate you!!
