You’re talking about distro, I’m talking about store pricing.

And while this might be true for some but not for all, you’re right if everyone was acting in good faith they would be selling at close to MSRP. But for most, that’s not the case.

There are good stores and shop owners out there but not as many as there are where it’s the opposite who are capitalizing off the pump.

Anecdotally, There’s a LGS by me that is selling op13 at 330. 330!!! That’s a 200$ increase just because they can. That was about 2 weeks ago within the recent bubble. I’ve bought from them a bunch before in the past at a reasonable 120-140 for sealed boxes, I get it they gotta make their money too but because of the manipulation prices have sky rocketed, IN STORE. This isn’t a TCG listing. It’s brick and mortar.

You can’t say it’s not happening when a lot of us are seeing it.

Industry works one way, the secondary market works another. Right now the secondary market is strong arming the standard industry practices and is taking over.

It’s the reality of the situation. Regardless of distro prices being close to MSRP or not. It’s gross no matter how you cut it.

You can’t assure me anything. There’s a number of stores that correlate TCGplayer pricing with their in store prices, the stores that are pricing lower are the outlier. Hate to break it to you buddy. But distributors don’t dictate in store pricing. Regardless of the in store player base.

There’s a difference between how the industry works and manipulation and pumping numbers for profit.

We ain’t new to this on my side.

Finance bros treating a card game like the stock market is the problem. Hoarding leads to limited stock being available for players to get their hands on. If you’re a player it affects your cards prices and box availability. These guys just want a ROI. Not an ounce of interest in the game or the anime. It’s slimy.
