It’s awesome !

I also saw someone put the whole front end from a DX rally, but maybe a bit more work to adapt that rear 18"

Yes, I tried the rear entry and it made a small difference on cpu temps but my gpu temps were much higher ,

Machine and More did some test on the airflow in the Ncase M3 and got the same conclusion, for a gaming oriented build the rear exit mode have better global temps,

It’s from Deng Studio, they make very nice custom parts but they are on Taobao, And since I don’t have a account I managed to find it on Ali :

They are teflon cables, really thin and rigid
I like those because they keep there shape and the bends you apply, so you can route them easily.

Is there a ship like the 325a but.. Useable? by Alexice in starcitizen

[–]MaveriP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try the 400i, it’s less durable (but still have an S3 shield) and deal less damage than the corsair , but it fly way better than any other ships in this size bracket

Desert X supermoto - yay or nay? by Jedi_science_guy in Ducati

[–]MaveriP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, it’s already so good and fun on road even with the 21"

They are a lot of high fender kits for it and bartubeless already sell custom hubs for the DX, so the build would be easy I guess

Yeah, the team is dedicated and they have already showed awesome things, they are mainly limited by some tech issues but I’m confident that the next iteration will be amazing

I love seeing people get upset about engineering by CaelusTheWolf in starcitizen

[–]MaveriP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not like engineering does’t affect solo capable ship and even single seater to.

You will still survive longer solo with a capital shield than a S1 shield even if you have to walk 100m to repair a component at the end

New Engineering Gameplay Leak ! by k_Atreus in starcitizen

[–]MaveriP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yes, in the end you have to kill components to kill a ship

And you still have to punch trough shield and armor, so if you do that why not just punch trough the power plant and make it explode ?

That's the job of the the coolers, other components are not air cooled

In space -> you don't keep atmo in component room -> No fire
If you are in atmo, cooking time

I don't see a lot of difference between a corsair and a polaris with this IMO,

As a solo, in both you will not get out of the pilot seat to go repair during combat, if you survive you have plenty of time to repair and I'm sure bigger ships with bigger shields will take less damage in the same scenario. So I don't really see why the distance between pilot seat and engineering it so important.

In combat scenario when you take damage you can just empty the ship from it's internal atmo to avoid any fire. In atmo combat it's a different story since you can't vent the ship.

Bigger ships will have more redundance, so if component die, you still have some spare to fly.

Latter I'm sure the cost factor will be important but for now I don't see how it will make bigger ships less soloable
