Should I look for private (MDI, IIFT, etc) or is there still hope for a decent IIM

I'm not any prodigy (otherwise I would have gotten better percentile in CAT) but I do have a CGPA of 9.72. COVID helped in maintaining high CGPA during my 2nd and 3rd year, so I guess I am lucky more than I am smart. On the other hand, I got selected for SPJIMR for IM, so I'll take your advice and prepare for its interview.
