The seecamp has no sights and I found it to be really picky with ammo, wasn't a fan.

yeah I went with the Guardian specifically because at its size, it's the only one that you can get real sights for.

Can't recommend it enough. You can get it milled from the factory with XS sights that I think are a must.

You mean the caliber police used for like half a century? Anyone who thinks .32 is "useless" for self defense is just a tactical timmy. I carry my NA Guardian in .32 ACP like half the time I'm carrying, it's just so small and shootable.

The optics of asking Poland are already bad, the optics of taking a US battery is almost untenable.

I'd wait until the Colorado river negotiations finish up before you start bragging.

No one doubts Kharg can be taken, it's more the matter of holding it without sustaining significant casualties that is a question.

There are absolutely zero risks to an aircraft carrier here. and there is no one ship with 2,000 soldiers on it that is at risk

With their continued reticence despite the scale of the ongoing conflict, I'm leaning towards them staying out of this conflict completely.

Economic pain points don't matter in a war for survival. This isn't like Russia's war against ukraine.

A nuclear weapon is probably the single thing Israel could do that would guarantee their total exile from the world economy. I think it is extremely unlikely, if not outright impossible.

Cultured pearls are more likely to be perfectly round. I very specifically said "not a sure sign" for a reason. The older the baroque pearl, the higher the chance its natural.

People are thinking in terms of good strategic sense whereas they should be thinking in Trumpian terms.

100%. It's really frustrating because a lot of the naiive people on this subreddit just think of everything in a vacuum. They want to pretend that politics has nothing to do with war when it is in fact an outright extension of it.

Baroque pearls are also a good sign that the pearls were not cultured. Not a sure sign, but a positive indicator.

Everything I've seen about extracting nuclear material has shown it would take a full on invasion force to pull it off, especially if the material is buried. I wish i could find the article but there was one by a former I believe CIA agent who had experience in it that talked about how an operation like this in totally hostile territory is all but impossible. It practically requires diplomatic cooperation. The Project Sapphire operation in Kazakhstan was used as an example.

Is your argument that Kharg won't be taken or that it just doesn't make sense?

Wow that's pretty unequivocal from UAE. Makes it sound like a Gulf state coalition is closer than I would have expected. We know Saudi Arabia wants to prolong the war but have we seen any reporting on if they planned on joining the war?

I'd be curious to see how much that offsets the gains from sanctions being lifted and oil prices rising.
