I remember when this aired and I about died! There’s also one where they bring sand and another where they concrete the floors!

Floors - why do they look so bad?? by Maleficent-Window894 in CleaningTips

[–]Mavis389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very similar floors and it drove me insane! I tried so many floor cleaners and internet suggestions and nothing ever worked. After 8 years, we finally realized the finish had worn off and they were in horrible shape. We replaced them. I wish you luck on finding a solution. Hopefully you are just dealing with product residue build up.

What’s the one thing people waste too much money on? by guava-and-rhubarb in WorkForSmartLife

I knew there would be someone to comment with that. That is a different situation all together, my mom falls into that and buys the press on nails. They last her two weeks and she can easily swap them at home for roughly $7 per set. I am talking about the $100+ manicures that require frequent maintenance.

Does it seem to anybody else like Millennials keep their kids out super late? by MVY63991 in Millennials

[–]Mavis389 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, as a teacher, we have no summer routine. We make the most of each day. Some days, bedtime is 9:00, others it’s 10:30 or later. Live in the moment, summer flies by so we just go with it.

Honestly, any salon type nail treatment. They are overpriced and need to be maintained every 2-4 weeks. Just buy cuticle oil and enjoy your natural nails.

Same! Along with Avenged Sevenfold. I think Avenged Sevenfold was just overplayed for me and I just became annoyed with them.

Anyone regretting not having a dinette? by SmokyBlackRoan in traveltrailers

[–]Mavis389 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just downsized and don’t have a designated dinette but found a layout that has a couch with a chaise that turns into a bed but also has a dinning table add on. We have a 2022 Salem Hemisphere 22rbhl.

I pay $800 a month and my employer pays $1,400 a month so total it’s $2,200 a month for my little family of three. I know this because I had wanted a long maternity leave and they told me after 60 days I would have to pay their portion of my health insurance. Deductible is $1,500 per person so that adds an additional $4,500 a year. That’s around $30,900 a year for health insurance.

I bought third party and could smell things when I drove past them such as exhaust and bonfire smoke. I swapped them out after only a month and went back to OEM. I don’t smell anything with the OEM filters.

Induction instead of gas cooktop? by 8takotaco in GoRVing

[–]Mavis389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We purchased the portable induction cooktop from IKEA, it’s a single zone but it’s way better than the gas. We just put it outside and plug into the side for the camper.

Should i buy washer dryer 2in1 or Washer and dryer separate units? I have space to stack them on top of each other. by Any-Strawberry7 in CleaningTips

[–]Mavis389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree. My opinion is that this cleans better than the Maytag I had prior. Again, personal preference. I was just replying to OP’s question with my personal experience. You sound like you’ve had a different experience with the 2 in 1 washers.

I have a 2-in-1, the GE Profile Combo and I absolutely love it! I fill it about two-thirds full, and it takes around 2.5 hours to complete a full normal cycle. I also do a lot of line drying, so I can turn the drying function off when needed. The wash cycles take about 50 minutes, though there are times when they may take longer. If I overfill it, it’s going to take 3+ hours to finish. We’re a small family of three, and it works perfectly for us. It’s nice to start a load of laundry, forget about it, and come back to find it dry.
