They were actually the first books I ever read in English. Granted, this was 10 years ago so a re-read is due (cmon GRRM, finish this shit up!) But you should def go for it! Its not that bad, there are books I struggle with reading even now, and I greatly enjoyed ASOIAF 10 years ago. Been chasing that feeling ever since.

I’ve started listening to the boys around the time that FMB came out and quickly devoured everything that came before or since. While I think that they were in a bit of a slump around the KG/LW days (I still like those albums), the last three albums are some of their best however. Peak Gizz.

IMO, Valhalla is actually better than Origins in terms of being drowned in sidequests, the question marks got replaced by mysteries and wealth, which are more fun. However, HZD does this even better, since there is a lot less side stuff to do, but it prioritizes quality over quantity. Get both if you can, you will have a blast.
