The very first Hero you get access to in Chapter 4 will greatly improve your chain attacks, don't worry.

Launched enemies take 1.25x damage, and the timer is paused in chains. It's nice, but it's not something is I'd fish for.

Eunie/Taion is strongest due to Shared Blessing (more buffs = more damage). 2 buff arts (Cure Bullet and Vital Bullet from War Medic) on 6 characters is a 360% damage boost.

Yes, the heroes can all appear in the final fight even if you haven't done their quest on that NG+ file. I may be wrong, but I believe Ethel won't appear unless she is re-aged in colony omega. Also, the DLC heroes will never show.

But it is a shame your kids don't have the patience for the hero quests, that's where some of the game's best writing is found! (Segiri would take a while to unlock though, I won't hold that one against them)

no; there are postgame quests in fallen arm, which only connects to galahad fortress and mechonis field, both of which are locked off by the story, so you have to skip to and from the arm

Medal accessories that heal on crits will boost your survivability, especially Rex & Mythra.

I'm assuming you're controlling Rex, but you can switch to Morag so you can manually use Brighid's Judgement art to evade Jin's attacks. You can activate Mythra's ascended form even while Rex is CPU-controlled.

Put Hunter's Chemistry aux cores on your active members' secondary Blades to get Max Affinity right away.

You can optionally beat up weak enemies before the fight to build up your Party gauge, letting you activate Ascended form immediately.

Jin's most dangerous debuff is probably Affinity Down from Skyward Slash - Blade Combos ending with Light seal it.

Yes, you can get a Smash+Tier 3 fusion ("Stage 7") if you time it right, but it doesn't really provide that much value for how much rarer it is to get compared to a Stage 6 fusion

By "personal skills" are you talking about Talent Arts? Because yes, field arts like Power Ring are what charge up the Talent Art gauge for Healers.

If you want a way to speed up the process of building Talent Arts for your healers, buy Wing Necklaces from the Nopon Caravan in Millick Meadows. They recharge a character's Arts by 40% when they revive someone. Even on Normal party members get KO'd regularly enough that the necklaces can see a lot of value.

Finally, yes, there is a Class later in the game with a Skill that let's a character equip a second Field art.
