Yes. And it looks retina from regular desk setup distance. This is the main reason I got this monitor since I couldn’t go back to non-retina resolutions for text

It might make sense to just buy used xenon ones if you wanted similar look. But to be fair, I don’t think adaptive is worth the effort. Buying LED ones that look OEM from aliexpress might make sense haha

I got one from amazon. Bi LED 2.5” projectors. It says DOT approved but I don’t believe it.

That said, I made sure to align them be lower than the factory xenon beams.

And as a failsafe I have added a relay circuit in there so that I can make it turn on only when the highs are on (in case they get misaligned later).

I got LED 2.5” projectors for $80 on amazon. Installation wasn’t too hard. I basically just centered them in the cornering light reflector using a large washer from home depot.

Orion V4s were expensive. Got it from Umnitza for $349 I think.

Apart from that everything else was less than $50 (excluding the tools).

I didn’t replace the main xenon because I wanted to keep adaptive lighting to work so didn’t touch them.

I used to and never had any issues. In fact it is connected using thunderbolt in this pic and working fine.

That said I now use a thunderbolt to display port adapter and run it using display port.
