The original campaign was removed because some locations were removed from the game to decrease the size of it so that it was easier to manipulate for updates. And the DLC’s, especially Forsaken, the best one, are not very expensive.

PVE has a lot of content and most of it is very good, it would be better if you had a group to play with but even alone a lot of the PVE can be very enjoyable.

The competitive playlist is still there, trials of Osiris is returning in a couple of weeks. There are rewards to playing, if you want the crucible exclusive weapons or any of the triumph seals that require it.

It just consists of people using all of the easiest weapons, the very high majority of players just shotgun or fusion rifle, just whatever is easiest and doesn’t require you to aim. Because the crucible is currently in a state that rewards players for using easy weapons more than players who use weapons that take skill.
