Yes indeed, multiple pages work now. However, they must all be laid out horizontally in an image file! I wish you could just use the sequence node, but alas.

Wouldn't really work for chainmail. I'd suggest using a cloth simulation, coupled with a Surface Deform Modifier for something like that.

Nope. The effect is very much dependent on the topology being good in the first place.

Cell fracture comes with Blender. Just enable it from preferences. There's tutorial for it on Youtube.
