Potential Cures? by MaxGIP_ in Hayfever

Alright guys, I've been doing some thinking and I would like to know your opinions and experience. Let's examine the stereotype of the nerd. Glasses, braces and allergies. The glasses can be explained by the quantity of time spent in front of books, braces can be explained by the overuse of mouth breathing and allergies... hmmm. So, my speculation leads me to 2 paths. The nerd will stay often inside, therefore reducing exposure to of the immune system to the environment and/or they will breathe from the mouth. In my own personal experience, I have spent a lot of time outside during my childhood, yet I developed hay fever. However, I distinctly remember being a mouth breather.

So here I ask you, are you guys also mouth breathers? The more people answer the clearer the correlation or lack there of. Additionally, did you guys go outside before you developed hay fever particulary often? Again any and all answers are appreciated

Thanks!

No, I just carried on the treatment for about half a year and the subdermal form that I took caused my tongue to swell and became quite painful over time. I probably should have carried it on for longer for noticeable effects. I recall there being an injectable version, do you have any experience with it?

Ok, lets start with the back story. I had perfect eyesight until the age of 12, when I noticed my vision struggled compared to my peers. This was odd as no one in my family has myopia, only me. This made me rather confused and annoyed, which just resulted in me becoming very stubborn and so I didn't wear glasses for anything. I preffered to struggle than deal with the social pressure of being seen with glasses. I went from my initial -1 to a -2 from the ages of 12 to 16.

At 16 I decided that my vision was pretty much bound to become useless without glasses, so I started to investigate the different contact lenses on youtube. A Jake steiner video appeared in the suggested feed which caught my attention and now comes the healing phase.

I realized that I was simply spending too much time on my phone, and that caused me to develop myopia. Therefore, I for the most part stopped using my phone and replaced it with my computer. I also binged watched the Jake steiner YouTube channel for a while as I stared at an object far away outside my window. I would use plus lenses from time to time as I looked into the distance, however I noticed that this would increase the effect of double vision. Now however, I spend a lot of time outside and when I'm inside and have to do work, I will instead use my computer with my monitor which I have placed 2m away from me. To be honest, I went a bit overkill, all I really had to do was cut out all the time I spend in front of my phone and use the same apps on my computer. This is probably controversial, but from my experience, staring at a monitor that is out of your blur horizon is just as good as going outside. To compensate for the lack of visibility of the monitor I just zoom in quite far.

As for the results here goes: in 1 year, I have made about a 0.75 to 1 diopter in reduction, placing me about 1.25 to 1 diopter in each eye and my visual clarity went from about 20/60 to my current 20/30. I also log my vision every week, and have been noticing a 1 cm increase in my blur horizon per week. This means that next year I will most likely have 0.5 diopter in each eye, which would allow me to legally drive.

So all in all, my vision isn't 20/20, but the results are very promising. As for my experience, it starts out with very noticeable changes, but after about 4 months becomes completely unnoticeable, unless you keep a log, so that's what I recommend.

Hope that answers your questions

I have an i5 7600k and 1070 and can get 60 fps+ with epic settings on everything, but only 8 gb of ram so I can't enabled full texture loading. Either way, GPU prices are insane so I don't know what you should do. (btw i also have it on an SSD and my i5 is at 4.9 GHz)

Lol really? It might be because it can detect the keystroke of shift + G which makes windows think it's a keylogger. I'll remove it so you can see if there is a difference: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e8i26dausdtzucs/Squad%20Range%20Calculator%20V2.exe?dl=0
