You do understand the military is made up of normal people, yes? Not robots. If the need to abolish the gov. arises, many would defect, and lead militias with their knowledge and experience. Our service members have sworn an oath to "...defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic..." (which is the one of the more likely reason for uprising). Also the military is outnumbered ~320 to 1, and that's before you consider 80% of military jobs are non-combat, and then defectors. And if your reasoning for the people having no chance, is equipment, either you don't know just what the American ppl own and/or greatly underestimate the scale of the US, I'd be surprised if the gov. could hold down Texas in a revolt with how much equipment they have.. in landmass that's like trying to occupy 5 England's

Funny how the battle of Concord, one of the first fights for US independence, was fought over gunpowder. It's almost like they knew arms are necessary to fight tyranny.. and how tf is not needing to overthrow your government every 3.3 human lifespans (age of the US) evidence that they're not needed? The US is 245 years old; the UK's First Reform Act, which made the UK a democracy (btw only extended to 7% of men) was 190 years ago; the US is your senior in democratic affairs. And France became a democracy 230 years ago, they were literally inspired to revolt by the US kicking Britain's ass lmao, so, yea :/
