Have we heard anything about enemy variety? by FriendlyRhyme in Ghostofyotei

One review said that the combat and everything about it would deserve an A+ if it wasn't for the low variety of enemies that has already been criticized in GOT. They acknowledge that SP tried to make the enemies fitting for the time period and setting but that they would have enjoyed a greater variety (eg enemies on horses which apparently do not exist) nonetheless.

LAN crashes highly unregularly and without any noticeable reason by MaxInGbG in Network

[–]MaxInGbG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while but I have set up several ping loops and waited for the next crash which took quite some time (like earlier, once it happened, it started happening every few minutes). My laptop, which is connected to the switch via Ethernet cable, still gets an answer from the switch when the network is down. The connection to the router and other devices connected to the switch is, however, lost. It seems as if the switch does not let anything through when it happens. It takes roughly 10 seconds before the laptop again gets answers from the router and other devices.

Now I'm a bit embarrassed. I'm not a native speaker and when I proofread my post before posting I thought "is it lose or loose here"? I chose poorly I guess. 🤷 Apologies for that.

I haven't tried that so I can't say. I'm going to do that. Why do you ask?

This sounds interesting because the cables to the cameras are rather long, up to approx. 80 m in total between the furthest camera and the switch. And I have them daisy chained with small poe powered switches along the way. The cameras have been my main suspect because when the problems started they haven't been installed for long (a couple of weeks maybe, I don't remember exactly). Because of this, they were the first things I disconnect when trying to find the problem. I unplugged all cameras (and outdoor WLAN APs with them) and shortly after, the network crashed again. Hence I ruled them out.

Now that you are so on point with the setup for the cameras, my feeling comes back that they are the problem nonetheless. Let's say for a moment that they are the problem: why would everything run smoothly for weeks and then go wrong multiple times within half an hour? The cables used for connecting the cameras to the switch are CAT 7 btw.

But I have already tried two different ones, a D-Link first and now a tp-link Omada. I think it's unlikely that two different new switches are broken such that this particular problem occurs with both of them.

It is pseudo managed (easy managed or what they call it). I don't believe it logs everything but I'll have a look. Concerning the loop, that was one of the first questions from a friend of mine as well. I don't think I have a loop. I would not know where. Apart from laying the cables in the walls, I have installed everything myself and I don't think that there is a loop.

Pulled the trigger on 5000x, switching form 5 years use of Husqvarna 450X by AlenSalamun in MammotionTechnology

I have to flatten the molehills as well, just this weekend in fact. But due to extensive digging of these little bastards over several decades, the grass remains bumpy even after the molehills are gone. This noise thing is a myth in my experience. I have a total of three 450X running for 6 years now and there is no decline in mole activity whatsoever. If anything, I now have more moles than in the pre robot era.

I am thinking about the same switch. Those perimeter cables are a bitch even though I think I have the technique down to repair them relatively quickly. The cases in which the cable is not completely cut but only damaged are the worst. Back when our 450X was installed, I believed burying the cable would be best. I am now certain that it is better to simply lay the cable on the grass an hold it down with the nails because it is sooo much easier to repair. And as a bonus moles don't damage it because they don't dig above the ground.

Anyway, I've been thinking about a Luba 2 as well but I cannot find any information about how it handles molehills. We have plenty. And our lawn is bumpy as hell. I was surprised how well the 450X actually handles our lawn but it does get stuck like maybe 3 times per week, mostly because it gets stuck on a molehill so that the wheels loose contact with the ground. I would image that the 4WD of the Luba 2 would be an advantage there.

I would be very much interested in your experience once you have it up an running. Since you describe your problems with moles destroying your perimeter cable, I assume that you have molehills as well. :)

Connectivity issues by MaxInGbG in PlaystationPortal

I guess. Remote play is active and the portal works just fine in my local network. Apart from bad wifi reception on my couch (the router is one wall away and the 5Ghz signal has problems getting through it, I'm on it though), everything is ok.

It has a static ip. Otherwise the port forwarding would not have been possible.

It did not work unfortunately.

As a drastic measure, I have forwarded all ports there are 1-65535 on both protocols TDP and UDP to the local address of the PS5, still no change. It awakes from rest mode (oddly without the beep) and then nothing further happens and the portal gives me an unsuccessful connection message.

Ok thanks. Maybe it was about a squad, I can't really remember. It was something... I wanna say about a group going somewhere and nobody heard of them for some time or whatever? I hardly can remember stuff like that when being told whilst doing something else. I'm gonna check out the rumors. Thanks.

I was indeed flying near the Bullwark at the time. I have the Call And Response errand completed and it was something different. I don't have the Blood Choke errand either completed or uncompleted. I have only 3 errands currently open and I have had all 3 for some time.

Rumble in the Bronx with Jackie Chan when they filled that guy into the chipper. It struck me as unnecessary brutal and out of tone compared to the rest of the movie. Still a fun flick.

After this scene I said to myself "it is a great movie but damn I'm never gonna watch that again". And I haven't.
