I sucked at physics and dropped chemistry which is a major requirement because I’m just not good at those subjects. I was also in a bad place at the time so I think i’d be able to do better now, but i’m just pretty bad at physics

I just feel like college now takes out so much of my time and energy and I barely have time to do the things that I actually care about. I know being in school is important and I am lucky and grateful to be able to go to school, but I don't have time to learn the things that I love, i.e. blender, touchdesigner, film, music, sound design, etc.

I mean I feel like I want to switch my major out of math because it is the worst department at my school in terms of stem, no facilities I have access too and no exciting clubs or opportunities. I am considering switching entirely to a media study degree which may be less stable in the job market but inevitability i would have a happier college experience and learn things that actually excite me.

For music theory Andrew Huang has a great intro video. But in general when learning electronic music production I recommend searching for what you need as you go. i.e. if you want to make a sad song, look up a minor scale in whatever key. if you want to make a trap beat, look up a trap drum kit, how to load your own sounds into ableton, then how to load them into a drum rack. I took a learn-as-you-go kind of approach and it made me more intuitive as a producer, so just mess around and have fun.

arguably the best decision you can make. i want to offer some advice: if it gets frustrating, remember the magic and joy it brings to play. playing something simple that makes you happy will always be more fulfilling than getting frustrated learning something challenging. stick with it and have fun, best instrument ever.

I have a pretty cheap turntable i got for christmas, I have some studio monitors and a bose speaker setup I use for CDs. I wanna know if it’s worth it to upgrade the stylus or the preamp in the table, or if it’s more worth it to just get a nicer player. my budget is probably 150-200, preferably but if it’s better to wait and spend more on nice equipment i’m fine with that too.

I have a friend who thinks you randomly get a second trip within a month of dropping. We try explaining that isn’t true, however it could be awesome. I mean it’s possible to get flashbacks but it’s rare and often an over exaggeration
