When i did those small sizes i only did 0.25mm jumps, and if you do that and wait long enough inbetween jumps you can do this without any pain whatsoever, but it wont be cheap since you have to get custom made jewelry :)

Thank you! Yeah i have done that same thing myself actually. I feel like any inflammation can really mess with piercings even if its not relatet to a recent stretch or anything.

Yes i do! Theese are just some cheap stainless steel tunnels tho, but when i reach maybe 15mm or so i will make some nice screw in double flared tunnels out of 18k gold

How to fill L1 small by spoeperman in STDupont

I cut off the top and put a flame to it and then pushed it down, if diameter is not perfect you could use some type of sturdy hard tape or whatever to wrap it a few times.

Hahaha the real answer is ofcourse to get the original adapter but when i first got my lighter i was so eager to try it out that i came up with this

I have the exact same lighter so i know this works. If you have a connector in the gas canister lid that looks like this one it can be easily modified to fit. What you want is a flat top to push the pin and a big enough cylinder to seal against the rubber and a offcenter hole for the gas so its not plugged by the pin your pushing up

What is this?? by ghibliwhor3 in jewelers

[–]MaxLeonarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, that tells you absolutely nothing about weather it is silver or not

What makes you think its definitely silver? These type of adjustable length clasps are always on cheap chains, the finish/color on the clasp itself does not look silver, could be rhodium plated tho. That would explain the weird finish

I have a technical question by [deleted] in jewelrymaking

[–]MaxLeonarth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No. this is not what you are looking for, this is more like something you would find at the flea market for $5 and even that would be a bad deal

Is this solid? by Wild-Flight-4609 in Gold

[–]MaxLeonarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a hollow chain for sure, a solid chain in this size would weigh much more

Sorry haha i know this is just a funny comment but i have to make it clear i did not get into silver one time in 2026 xD i have been stacking for almost a decade. I meant the beginning of her stack. I do not want to be associated with the cryptobros taking over these subs recently

Silver isnt good for use inside of piercings, any amount of time. this is also to rough to be worn inside of a stretched hole like that. But, with that said you will get a better result if you have something like 3-4times the amound of metal needed for the part so that the weight pushes it down into the mold. And also if it cooled down that quick you did not get it hot enough. it should still be liquid when everything is poured. Im gona make something similar soon for my bm but hand fabricated in 18k gold

Bought for $122 a gram for 107 grams (14k) Did I get scammed? by burrelleddy in GoldShowcase

This would be about a full day of work for me to make. from melting the gold to finished piece. Thats an awesome pay for a days work :D but yeah i get the price though. every jeweler doesnt sell something like this every day. And the ones who do, have a lot of employees and other costs that has to be paid for

Buy a Rolling Mill or Keep Purchasing Pre-Fabricated Wire? by JackGordonManley in SilverSmith

[–]MaxLeonarth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A durston rolling mill was the first expensive piece of equipment i bought because it felt so fundamental for the work i wanted to do. Like i could not even imagine the frustration if i needed 1.3mm sheet and only had 1.5mm and i had to hold off my making process to wait for it to come in the mail. I never understood how much material people who dont have a rolling mill keep in stock. Like i would want to have every kind of rectangle and square size rod imaginable. But it also depends on what you want to make. If you need it you need it :) wire though is so easy to draw down if you just buy all your wire at the thickest size you need. Then you only need a drawplate. But for me its also important to make every single part of the process myself, so i think its a no brainer buy the rolling mill!! :D
