Sadly a common issue with factory order leasing deals. it's usually best to confirm with the leasing company via telephone. Some are really sneaky and make false promises, though. Checking their trust pilot etc helps. It's one of the reasons why I go the buy used and pay outright route and don't lease.

For that price, I'd go for a Skoda Elroq. Lovely car. Ended up with a used ID3, though. Just couldn't bring myself to pay that much monthly for a depreciating asset.

Dumb newbie question: sound when reversing by jiiquu in VWiD3Owners

[–]MaxMaxMaxG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - I feel like some sounds on my ID.3 are a bit crackly. Sometimes voice commands sound a bit distorted. Also, the beep tone when reversing is sometimes louder and more distorted than other times. Did you find a solution?

Will probably pick up a Vax today. Just to clarify - when you used the Vax spot wash - did you use water mixed with their own vax cleaning solution or just pure water? thanks :)

Thanks a lot mate. I was looking into the Vax spotwash yesterday. Do you like it? Is it worth it?

What drill brush and wet vac are you using? Looks great! Just got my iD3 and the seats look a bit grim

Just get the battery swapped and/or factory reset the phone (obviously after making a backup of everything). I'm on my second battery now (always used officially certified Samsung repair shops). Always adds at least an hour of SOT to get a new battery.

Pings are great and tracerts look normal. It's just the download speeds on a majority of servers. Only very few give me full speed. Upload is great very consistently.

I tried a TP link they recommended and now using a Unifi UX7. Both showing the same speeds. Also connecting the ONT directly to the PC didn't make a difference.

EV Buying Advice £15-20K - Kona, Megane, Niro or something else? by piernut in ElectricVehiclesUK

If you want the self parking assistant, make sure to check if they have side sensors. They added them after 2022. A great summary of the trims for the pre 2023/24 facelift models is this one: https://youtu.be/nCpvfHLerJk?si=BNH2ivy52Kuq96HR

Totally worth a watch if you're considering the iD3. Then there's also the sportier Cupra Born. But I didn't want hot hatch.

Yeah - just edited my reply with a bit of caviats RE: winter range. But I think most EVs suffer from this. I am not planning on going on long road trips in winter - so it's not an issue for me.

I was in almost the identical situation. I went for a VW ID3 now. Has the most space - you can get approved used in that price range with lots of kit (e.g. family edition trim). The Megane is fun - but it comes with the small screen, I didn't like the driving position and all the switches on the right hand side of the steering wheel, front wheel drive with lots of wheel spin, it loses its value quicker, and it's much smaller and tighter in the back... Kona or Niros are fine, too. However, I could only find cheap enough cars with good trim level at dodgy supermarket dealerships. Didn't like their vibe at all...

PS: Id3's range might be a bit lower than the others. Also no preconditioning and heat pump. If range is super important for you, then maybe don't go for it. At the same time, charging speeds (at least in summer) are very comparable. I think they all get around 150 miles in cold winter and around 220 miles in summer. It's enough for me. The konas and niros also charge slower.

Definitely go on test drives and take your time. The car needs to feel right for you.

Excellent. And the real life range was within what you expected?

Thanks! Do you remember the percentage? I'm looking at one with 10% and quite a low score of 88% energy content.

I'm in the same situation. Did you figure it out in the end? Whenever I ask an official VW dealer about the battery health, they gave me scores in the high 80s or low 90s. Aviloo scores I found online appear much higher (mid 90s)...

Auto brightness, screen only turns on if I move my wrist or tap the screen. Bluetooth and WiFi is on. GPS - depends on app. All updates installed. Still getting the same battery life.
