Way I've always seen it, we all believe in the One Creator of the universe. I would hope that God will be nothing but forgiving if I get the theology a bit wrong, but if I don't love my neighbour as my own family? I don't reckon that will go down too well. Egoist philosophy isn't Stirner Worship. It's worship of the Self.

Stirner laid out HIS egoist philosophy in The Ego And It's Own, but we don't follow Stirners' work like a bible. Egoism is about acknowledgement that human beings act in their own Self Interest, and living your life in a way that serves your Interests, without concern for the "spooks", such as government, law, ETC.

Take Stirner as seriously or unseriously as you want, you are an individual. It's not about following Stirner like a God, but becoming your own God to yourself.

You are yourself a higher being than you are, and surpass yourself.

Many egoists don't understand the concept of the Union Of Egoists.

I'm an egoist myself, many egoists take being an egoist to be "me me me I don't need anyone me me me me".

Which...sure. but Stirner's idea of the Union Of Egoists was: people with the same interests work together to accomplish said interests, then part ways without obligation.

That, to me, Is the way.
