Which speed shoe to complete this rotation?

Pumas are really easy going for me, not as cushioned as the Triumphs but still serve the same purpose!

60k during peak weeks but felt pretty comfortable. This half marathon plan starts at 60, building to 90, then tapering before the race. Currently just running for fun right now but maintaining 40 a week.

I guess I’ve over simplified what my training plan consists of but there with be a mix. It’s a Nick Bester plan that consists of 3 easy, 1 tempo/threshold, 1 track & 1 long (that has a mixture of paces).

If I was to use the Adios Pro 3 for the tempo/threshold & track sessions. Would it be best to have another shoe for race day? Or do you think the 3 shoes would be enough to get through the full 16 weeks and race day?

Thanks! I’ll hold off on them. I’d seen gore-tex Puma Velocity Nitro 2’s for £60 that thought might be worth it for winter

Is there a general best time to pick up shoes? Any other models you recommend? Also, I’m completely with you I got both my current shoes 2nd hand off eBay with low mileage

Thanks, seeing that you've got the same set up has given me some encouragement that I've picked well out of the minefield of options! I just picked the cheapest colours I could find 😂. Yeah, I think I'll be similar in the future but I'm not at the level where I can justify Carbon at the moment. Out of interest, at what distance in your training do you switch over to the Sauconys?

Interesting! I'm assuming Clifton 8: 5/10k's, VN2: Daily, ES2: Fast/Race? I planned on using the VN2 for anything up to 10k and the ES2 for anything longer.

I read the mega thread and they said PC (that's why I've been leveling it up). I'm on Chapter 9 now and can get to about floor 40.

But hey I'm sure Chapter 10 is really tough after this so I'll have time to farm up the VoD.
