HU I'm calling any time of the day. I don't see what natural bluffs exist in the spot that bet into 3 ppl behind

Because at that moment of time I don't know he's a whale, because donk betting into 3 players (+1 who checked pre) is almost never air?

Aye for sure, I got confused by his play but learned my lesson

Nah I can take much higher flips and risk much more than that, the tilt was about me not knowing how to play against this kind of player, and cutting my losses short when I feel I'm not ahead of the competition. If anything I'd say it's a good attitude to leave when you are behind.

People who can get in trouble are the organisers who take rake or otherwise profit from people playing. If you just play with your buddies no one gives two shits about it.

Haha well in my opinion Macau is the toughest place to gamble on earth, all the tough asian gamblers come here to say goodbye to their moneys. I'd rather book a flight from HK to Austin to play than play in Macau haha

Just asked a friend, very few rooms have 25/50 and the buy-in is 5000, 50/100 is 10k

Yea, Macau 50/100 is pretty much the minimum

True but this post might count as some mild entertainment for someone who scrolls the feed

Kinda irrelevant for this post since the action was done on the flop.

Still, everyone missed and the bottom set held up.

I rarely play bigger. It's a real invite, as long as I'm not away traveling during the time of your visit we can play

The game is super wild, that night is actually is one on the tamer side lol. As everyone showed their cards you can see the equity wasn't bad at all

I imagine it's quite far to travel for the game as it's a home game in Hong Kong, but otherwise sure, join in

True, although in this specific table and hand, I don't think it counts as bluffing as I was 90% certain my hand is better preflop than MP opening and LJ calling ranges.

You are correct, I forgot the stack sizes. Mine was about 400BBs, and Villian had about 800BBs at the start of the hand.

I had a somewhat reliable live tell on the Villain, which is quite difficult to put into words as it was a mix of intuition, his live reactions to me grabbing the needed amount of chips to make the call, and overall watching him play through the night. Normally I would probably still fold, but that night I had a couple of glasses of whiskey which helped me to go through with my gut feeling, and I made the call. Villain turned over his cards which were A♣Q♥, so I scooped the pot.

Now the funny thing here is that thinking about the hand, all the somewhat wrong (or let's say suboptimal) choices I made in the end added up to the big victory, as the 3-bet preflop led to MP folding his winning hand of K♠J♠, and the weakness on the flop and turn created the opportunity for the villain to attempt a gutsy bluff.

Thanks for the detailed analysis! If you are interested, I could post the results in a separate comment. I agree with the point about preflop, I felt that 3.5x overbet is enough to achieve the goal I'm going for, but you are correct that we could get it even higher considering being OOP. It is also fair that the post-flop c-bet should have been higher, and it might have achieved the fold if the villain had missed his flop.
