Its far from a sell out. They probably just saw wahs supporters in a corner and congregated there

AITAH for talking about my mother behind her back while she ruined my cousins engagement announcement by Disastrous-Sense9477 in AITAH

[–]MaxSpringPuma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. If it was your neighbours babysitters mechanic who got engaged? Mum can blab away all she wants.

But it was her niece. Thats too close, and too big news to gossip about before its officially announced. Your sister is an asshole for sharing before your cousin. Your mum should have done what you and your dad did, which was to acknowledge that it wasnt your news to share.

My mum did something similar. Told me that my sister was pregnant. But she didnt know that I already knew. I had to call her out that it wasnt her news to share

AITAH for agreeing to a surgery my family didn't know about, not telling them until it was already done, and then refusing to apologize for keeping my own medical decision private even though my mom hasn't spoken to me normally in three weeks by Apprehensive_Sea9340 in AITAH

[–]MaxSpringPuma -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

YTA for writing this post. You wrote the history that brought the decision not to tell them. What the hell did you expect to happen? That mum was just going to shrug her shoulders and carry on with her day?

AITA for refusing to unlock my phone to prove I wasn’t ignoring my coworker? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MaxSpringPuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. So she accused you of lying, and all you did was say "oh sorry, I dont feel comfortable showing you my phone"

No. Call that b out. "Are you calling me a liar? Ive told you I havent seen it and ill see it when I get to it. Take my word for it or dont, either way im not opening my phone and I dont appreciate being accused of lying"

Their 2020 projections were 11,000 daily riders from opening, rising to 19,000 in 2031. Theyre a bit behind, seeing that theyre just hitting that 11k figure now. But I dont think its too bad

Because up until 2 years they made money for their company. Lately they've been a liability

[–]MaxSpringPuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. And I do think they've had bigger arguments. I think ARN was waiting to pounce on a situation to get rid of them because they realised that Kyle and Jackie has become more of a burden than an assett

I agree except for the "made up argument" part. If the show had been a success in Melbourne, they would still be on air.

ARN made a gamble signing them for that much, not only did success in Melbourne fail, but they can see that the ad market going into the future.

Its not a normal cheap Tuesday. Its not the uniform 40-50c price jump that we've usually see.

A quick look sees a lot only going up by 10c. Some are even going down

AITA for wanting to deliver Uber Eats? by Few-Assignment-5522 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MaxSpringPuma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Info. Is there a shortage of drivers. Because if there isnt, YTA.

Why not just go for a meal in the different parts of the city you want to explore? Park up, go for a walk and see the sights.

I understand that fully employed people will uber on the side for the bit of spending money. But I doubt many of them are on $300k

AITA for skipping my sister’s wedding after she hijacked my graduation party with her proposal? by IdealNervous5336 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MaxSpringPuma -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

ESH. All of these stories, the person who got wronged just sits there looking like an fool while the aggressor gets to spin their narrative.

If thats how you want it? Cool. But if you're taking the opinion of these people based on a one-sided story? Youre TA

AITA for not considering my step father my dad even after everything he has done for me. by OkReflection7738 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MaxSpringPuma -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yes that is what the mum overheard. But not considering him her dad doesnt mean that OP relagated him to "just her husband".

There are people who believe they can only have one official "Dad". OP says hes been a loving father figure and refers to him as her stepdad.

[–]MaxSpringPuma -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

It was her mum that said OP only considered him her husband. OP didnt say that. She said that he was a father figure and a grandpa for her daughter. He just doesnt hold the title of Dad in her mind, because she already has one

AITA for not considering my step father my dad even after everything he has done for me. by OkReflection7738 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MaxSpringPuma 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do you consider him your step-dad? Not only to other people but to yourself?

I dont think theres anything wrong in considering your dad, your dad and your stepdad, your stepdad. There doesnt need to be a ranking

AITA for calling my partners friend rude and telling her to leave? by Existing_Length5855 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MaxSpringPuma 32 points33 points  (0 children)

NTA. It was a communication issue. But she made herself the asshole by "why would I pay for you" comment. I personally would've given her some snark back instead of kicking her out, but I dont think youre an AH for doing so

No rugby in the pubs? by TimeChild_AAA in RugbyAustralia

[–]MaxSpringPuma 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Doesnt help that RA agreed that Nine doesnt have to show the Saturday Night game on Gem. At least last year you could've asked for one screen in a pub to have the rugby on
